Chippee! in East Devon

The fish was very fresh with very crispy cake .. Delicious chips thickly sliced ... All very hot and wrapped in paper which adds to the charm. The only downside is too little vinegar and lack of detectable amounts of salt..Recommended!

Haven’t been to this chip shop in years but always used to love it. However I was really disappointed. A lot of the chips where blue/black. The chicken nuggets were cooked from frozen. My whole order got passed to me in little individual bags, I had to ask for a bigger bag and pack it myself despite there being a queue behind me. Don’t recommend

I came to Chippee last night to get a portion of chips on the route home.I walked in, it was quiet.I stated that i'd like a small portion of chips, the man behind the counter told me that he was in the middle of prepping an order so i would have to wait.There were 3 members of staff behind the counter, Two who weren't doing anything.He then told the gentleman he was serving that his curry sauce would be a couple of minutes.I assumed my order would now be taken and prepped as it was just a portion of chips i was after.but he just stood there waiting for the other two members of staff to prepare a curry sauce.i walked out and went to the Chinese next door.terrible service.

Wow......chips are cooked well and the fish is very tasty. Mushy peas great to. Quick , controlled service and parking outside is easy.

This used to be a good fish and chip shop, used to be consistently too. I have been her a 3 times in last few weeks, and have progressively got worse. Just thought we would give it one last go tonight on way home. Tiny scratching like over cooked chips, fish, I think it once was a fish, less meat than a birds eye fish finger, more like fish jerky.Sorry wont be back for a while.

needed food saturday night,,,,,2 x fish n chips, 1 x battered sausage and chips, onion rings £25.00 wow,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 100% honest opinion of food was not brilliant, the fish and chip portions were very small and not the best,,,, sorry guys but this is not the best chippy.............. wont be visiting again :-(

Food from here is always good, freshly cooked and delicious.Really good too to see all staff tonight wearing masks to protect customers. Sadly the same cannot be said for the customers, who clearly don't care whose health they put at risk.It's a shame businesses don't seem to realise they can require masks to be worn and lawfully refuse entry/service to those who don't. The stuff govt doesn't tell people...Thanks for the excellent food tonight and for doing your bit to keep people safe!

Got home late and was starving so thought I would treat myself to some fish and chips for the first time in months. Called into the Chippee, which seems to have lots of great reviews - sadly mine isn't one of them. Maybe it was late in service, or I was just unlucky, but even so, I've just been served the smallest, meanest, most embarrassing excuse for a piece of fish that I've ever seen. a few millimetres thick and more batter than fish. More like a couple of fish fingers wrapped in batter than an adult portion of fish. The only saving grace was that there were plenty of chips. So much for my chippy treat!

Epic fish and chips! Stopped in on the way to Cornwall and what a little gem. Perfectly crisp and fluffy chips, fish was perfect and curry sauce not too sweet. Then an epic LEGO shrine to top it off! Highly recommend.
