My partner and I stayed here in April for a couple of days for a friend's wedding in Marshwood. The staff at Fairwater Head are the sweetest people and we were instantly met with friendliness and the best hospitality. The hotel is a stunning little building and our room was lovely, spacious and clean. The breakfast hamper was so enjoyable and neatly presented, lots of options and also the in-room teas/coffee/hot chocolates were from Clipper and so yummy. The hotel is in a beautiful area of the country and it was amazing to wake up to the sounds of sheep! All information about the hotel is in a handy booklet in the room and of course the staff were always happy to help and be asked questions! We loved seeing your adorable dogs too! Thanks for a lovely experience.

Loved our stay here. The new owners are doing a great job of refurbishing the hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean, plus they really are dog friendly and even gave our girl a little toy on arrival. The only thing we felt was missing was some sort of communal area, be it a lounge, a bar or outdoor seating area but we were out most of the time so really didnt affect our stay. We met Lauren and she told us about their plans for the future which sound awesome so we'll be back for sure!

A gorgeous hotel with really smart and immaculate rooms and a hamper breakfast to die for. Lauren was so welcoming to us and our dog Theo and even though ours was only a one night stop-over while we met friends at Charmouth - it was a really memorable stay. Many thanks to all at Fairwater Head

Had a fantastic 10 days here! Stunning setting with the most beautiful sunsets. Close to so many places of interest for both adults and children this is the perfect place to rest after a busy day in a lovely spacious and comfortable family room. This hotel is both child and dog friendly. The proprietors and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Lovely views, heating on in October, great staff ideal for a relaxing break. Chef caters for dietary requirements, had a wonderful cod in gluten free tempura batter done especially for me, thank you. 😍👍Also this beautiful old world hotel is dog friendly supplying towels, treats, pooh bags and lovely welcome pack, dogs are allowed in all areas except main dining room. However, if your dog cannot be left in your room or car meals can be served in your room, there may be a small service charge.

LAURA ASHLEY - The Tea Room @ Fairwater Head HotelIf you're looking for either an Afternoon meetup with a friend in a beautifully decorated and sedate room with a stand full of excellent and I mean excellent service and food or a special celebratory occasion then this is a venue for you.Being an afternoon tea connoisseur I have come across some offerings which supposedly pass as Afternoon Tea but this was exceptional. Each sandwich or tasty morsel on the stand exploded with flavour in the mouth and was beautifully seasoned. There are a selection of teas. The breakfast loose leaf tea had a beautiful clean flavour and there was plenty of hot water to too up with for the duration of the tea.We ordered the sweet and savoury Gluten free options, one each and shared. You won't be disappointed and hopefully you'll be as elated as we were. Your booking though will require at least 24 hours notice I believe for GF option.Other menu options are available such as Scones and tea or coffee. I assume the menu is available on line. The service team were smartly dressed and wholly attentive t and alert to the needs of the diners. It is wonderful that we only live 7 miles away, so we will be revisiting when we can.
