A lovely position , watching the world go by. Really attentive staff tho did feel they were rushed. Boys enjoyed full English b'fast ,looked terrific nicely presented. Coffee was good too.

A lovely cafe, very friendly helpful staff and very good value. We had a great crab sandwich and yummy smoothie! It has a gorgeous view across the bay. On a practical note, the facilities were spotlessly clean! 😁 definitely to be recommended.

Hostile and moody staff. When we asked about vegan/veggie options (advertised on the board outside) a waitress very aggressively replied ‘very limited’. She said there might be veggie sausages, didn’t know if vegan. We asked for a couple of mins, she didn’t come back. When we finally got someone else 10+ mins later they said they had stopped doing breakfast.

The scones in the afternoon tea were to die for. Lovely place and we could tell why it was popular, lovely food and good service . We chatted to other customers and they turned out to be locals who regularly used the cafe, can't have a better recommendation than that. Will go again when in the area, highly recommended.

Nice little café with an amazing view on Sidmouth sea. The service is quick and polite. I had a baked potato which could have been warmer. The muchroom soup was good. Paninis are as good as it can be. Good quality/price rapport.

A proper seaside café. Very clean and good seating inside and out.It was busy when we visited at about 4pm and the kitchen was just closing but they were continuing to serve drinks and cakes. We had cappuccino coffees and a nice hot cheese & onion pasty. If sitting outside, you need to keep an eye out for the keen odd seagull that might sell to sweep down and clean up an empty take next to you!Staff were quick and efficient.

Ah the Fort Cafe special, possibly the most perfect ice cream treat anywhere. I detour through Sidmouth just to eat one walking along the seafront.Crisp cone, a brilliantly sticky clotted cream vanilla ice cream, topped with a chewy Devon clotted cream that slightly freezes on the ice cream and a chocolate flake that pushes down into the cone.Life should be full of more simple pleasures like this.
