Make sure you know how much you should be paying or you will be taken advantage of. I ordered a large chips, cod and 2 jumbo sausages and it came to £14.20?! I didnt realise until I had left.

Have used the Cafe many times but my first Fish & Chips were very disappointing. The fish was so thin it had disintegrated when cooked. Very poor value for money and will not be returning or recommending, sorry.

ReallyLovely guys behind the till and great fish and chips. The shop looks shoddy though - broken glass on the door needs to be sorted and the front door kept blowing open in a mild breeze which was annoying and cold!

Have used this chip shop for as long as I can remember on my visits to exmouth, but my visit on this recent Friday has ruined it for me. First of all it took 30 minutes to get my order which is unusual for them as they are normally pretty good, second of all I was made to feel very vulnerable and intimidated when I ordered my food. I asked for two small sausages and one jumbo sausage to which the immature little lad behind the counter said" ooo well you like a bit of sausage then" and giggled to himself, which made me feel very intimidated on my own with just men behind the counter.Unfortunately this has put us off returning.

We arrived at 4:30 when the sign on the door said they were back open. They then changed the sign to now open at 5pm much to the disappointment and frustration of those who had been waiting for it to open. Poor. We’ve eaten here many times but customer service often lets them down.

Great cafe. Have been going for years. It is what it is and makes no claims to be something it's not. Our food has always been delicious and generous. I hope it continues for a long time.

Ordered cod and chips, mushy peas and a gherkin. Mushy peas and chips were nice, didn't get a gherkin and couldn't be bothered to walk back to get it. Service was good; friendly chatty guy took my order. 5 stars is for the cod - perfectly cooked, no skin on the cod, crispy batter, not greasy - would go again, might even get a gherkin next time!

Shabby and grubby. Table had not been cleaned. Mug of tea was just hot water and milk. Had to order a pot of tea instead. Teapot and water jug were dirty and needed a good clean. Very young serving staff who merely wiped tables with the same damp cloth. No extra cleaning for covid here! Breakfast was average at best as it included cheap quality ingredients - very poor quality sausage and margarine. Fantastic position and view. Needs complete refurbishment to make the most of this. Apparently under threat of closure which explains the lack of modernisation but this doesn't explain the poor quality food and hygiene.

Freshly made cooked breakfast that was actually hot unlike most places, good ingredients, except the sausage, far too firm, with too much sage & gristle in it for me.Good amount of seating inside and out, i was lucky enough to get a seat right by the window, giving a spectacular sea view whilst I was eating, nice range of food on the menu, plus service was friendly, too many dogs inside the restaurant when I visited though, causing too much barking.
