Le Pisani in East Devon

Wow. Read a couple of slightly negative reviews but they must be from a different planet. Very clean, friendly efficient service, varied menu and fantastic food. If I could award 6 stars I would. If you are around the area make sure to reserve a table and enjoy a great dining experience

Le Pisani - Disappointed with the service (although two ladies were very helpful) asked a waiter for side plates which never arrived, knives and forks just put on the table muddled up with starter cutlery and main cutlery and no salt and pepper on table. For the price you are paying for this restaurant you would expect to have a table properly laid out. Overall the food was ok some pizza rather tasteless and uncooked vegetables on top of the pizza which are supposed to be uncooked?? Rustic pizza was lovely though would recommend 👍. Mexican pizza was bland, no spice or even seasoning on the meat, looked like it had been chucked in a pan and thrown on to pizza. Do not get it! Would not come back and extremely expensive for what it is.

The best restaurant I have been to in a long time. The staff are very efficient and keep moving all night long never stopping to chat. The food is outstanding, well cooked well presented and very very tasty. We were only in Seaton for 5 nights and eat here twice not disappointed in anyway. We are thinking of coming here for my 70th birthday in October and it's a 21/2 hours drive from home that should tell you how impressed we were. Roseabella and her husband run a great venue.

Stopped on the way through town to have a coffee and sat outside - I had a beautiful cortado complemented by an apple and cinnamon pastizzi. The coffee was strong but not bitter, and the pastry was crunchy and enjoyable. Too warm for me inside (personal preference, and an unusally warm day made for that combination) and outside was difficult (albeit not impossible) to park a pushchair so it was out of the way but still at the table. A likeable experience.

Excellent service and tasty food. A huge bonus is the offer of Maltese food like pastizzi, Twistees, Delicious Gozitan wine and Cisk lager. Highly recommend.

After reading so many good reviews I've decided to go for my birthday dinner and felt very disappointed.The mains: Crab Mediterranean - under cooked pasta, cheap rocket and tomatoes (taste like supermarket essentials range) with a bland crab mix (18.95£).. The Funghi Gorgonzola - also the same standard, cheapest supermarket rocket and mushrooms however on this one the pasta was cooked (16.95£). The starter: 4 tiny bruchettas with an extra drizzle of truffle oil (this came to 6.95£ + 2.95£ for the oil) - Very expensive for what you are actually getting.. Won't return. The staff was friendly with us and the restaurant decoration was nice.

From the moment we stepped in the door the entire experience was wonderful; friendly, helpful staff and superb food, which was so nice that we had eaten all the starter before I'd considered taking a photo.

What a gem ! Superbly cooked seafood Italian food. Coupled with lovely service and attention. With a 13 and 11 year old in tow - empty plates and satisfied smiles were the end result. Oh ! And the Seaton Special is to die for. You MUST try it.

Very nice restaurant food excellent as was the service highly recommended. Loved the Cisk beer from Malta.
