A perfect choice for a really special occasion. Fabulous position overlooking the Exe Estuary. Service first rate....not too intrusive, but very friendly. Staff excellent at engaging in conversation. Restaurant food and wine is as good as it gets.

We decided to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary by booking a one night dinner bed and breakfast stay. From the check-in to check out we had excellent service. The room was available and was very comfortable. There was a personal welcome card from the hotel congratulating us on our anniversary and wishing us a pleasant stay. The staff were very present but not in an intrusive manner and always available should you have a query. The pool area was fantastic and great views across the vineyard to the Estuary. We enjoyed an excellent dinner, again plenty of staff who were attentive and knowledgeable. The rooms are very comfortable and have high end amenities. Great to have a decent hairdryer as well!! We had morning tea delivered to our room and the breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and all very fresh. The grounds are beautiful and has a nice walk around the vineyard. We can highly recommend Lympstone Manor and hope to stay again.

Belated birthday treat! I received a gift voucher for a lunch at the Manor and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was worried about being out of my comfort zone and whether my belly would cope with the rich foods BUT I shouldn't have! The staff were excellent, made us feel at home and the food was lovely. If I could afford it, I'd go at least once a week!!!

Beautifully situated on the Exe estuary. The outside seating affords visitors fantastic views of the river.Highly attentive staff provides excellent service both in the hotel and restaurant and bar areas.Even though the food and wine selection are excellent, value for money is debatable. The prestige wine pairing goes for a whopping 250 pounds, double the price of a comparable pairing at 3-starred restaurants in the capital, while the Estuary menu comes in at 180 pounds, rivalling prices at 3-Michelin starred establishments. The rooms are similarly afflicted with prices well beyond comparable hotels' offerings, which puts a minor damper on an otherwise great experience.

Rooms were of a great standard and service was top notch. The atmosphere at dinner was like being in a library, which is something I've not experienced at an establishment like this. The food was good but missed the wow factor normally experienced at a Michelin star restaurant.

Fabulous place, lovely comfortable bedroom, and a G and T for me! Food as brilliant as it should be coming from one of our top chefs. Staff and service impeccable but friendly, if you know what I mean! Will stay there again.

This hotel is exceptional from the way it's decorated, it feels like a gallery that is filled with wonderful things from paintings to sculptures. We went for dinner and stayed overnight. The food is some of the best we have tasted along with the service we received. We are back in May for my husbands 50th and we can't wait.

Had a wonderful night at Lympstone, what a place, picture perfect setting overlooking the estuary. Attention to detail is everything here, from the warm greeting you receive on arrival right through to checking out. Room superbly appointed, incredibly comfy bed too. The star of the evening was the food, wow! We went for the estuary tasting menu which showcased fish and seafood, each dish even better than the last, flavour combinations sublime, the fish was the star! Wine flight matched perfectly and the team did everything to make the experience just so, never stiff, always friendly, engaging and enjoyable to chat to. This is a real 6 star experience, a total treat and a great place to escape, relax and enjoy some stunning food in the best location!

As usual a lovely stay with wonderful food and great service. As a wheelchair user I appreciate the efforts made to make the hotel and the room accessible, however the prevalence of gravel pathways means that the the wonderful grounds are not available to me and the bed is rather high for an easy transfer from a wheelchair.

As a surprise for my Husband's 60th birthday, I booked us into Lympstone Manor for the night. Well, for once, I'm speechless!. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The hotel, grounds and views are stunning. The decor and attention to detail in the hotel is second to none. The staff are friendly, helpful, attentive - nothing is too much trouble, but not intrusive. The food is sublime, we now understand what it means to eat in a Michelin Star establishment. We received a complimentary Room upgrade and glass of champagne (the best we have ever tasted) as it was a special celebration. Thank you Michael Cains and your hardworking team for making it birthday to remember.
