New Inn in East Devon

We recently went to the New inn,and were left disappointed with the quality of the pizza that was served to us.It was very gloomy,and just peeled away from the base.Also,asked if we could be moved, as we were right near the toilet, and we're just told "No".They also didn't take to kindly to my daughter who just wanted cheesy chips.A remark was made,which came across as unfriendly. It turned out that she was lucky not to have had the pizza,unlike my wife who had to have some of my meal to compensate. All in all,disappointing.

Worst meals we have had in a long time. Ordered fish and chips, batter on the cod soggy. Kenyan curry, curry was no more than a sweet potato and carrot tasteless stew. The leek and mushroom pie was uncooked, peas in cup were sitting in water at the bottom and the gravy was glupy. All of this was advised to waitress, took plates away not remotely interested. Most definitely will not be returning.

Mid week dinner time, we ordered 4 meals, excellent food, well presented, friendly staff, will go again, well priced,

We had a lovely meal here celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious and well presented and the staff friendly and attentive. We'll be back 😊

Such a nice restaurant... The environment is family, the service is pleasant. The coffee was good, so was the cream tea.

Excellent food, good vegan options, friendly staff and a great view of a tardis from the pub garden

Our third visit since the end of lockdown and never been disappointed. Last night in our party of three we all had a different meal and all were excellent. In particular the beef was beautifully cooked, tasty and fell apart. A welcoming atmosphere and friendly and attentative staff. Will be booking again in the near future.

A very cosy pub with a good selection of beer and wine and a reasonably varied menu. Food was good (the freshly prepared pie was worth waiting for) and the drinks were nice and refreshing. Staff were friendly and polite and service was prompt. All very enjoyable, thank you.

Nice cozy pub with low beams, comfy seating and a fire. Dog friendly. I enjoyed a delicious vegetarian halloumi and mushroom burger on a brioche bun. Also lovely parsnip soup.

Really lovely pub, in a beautiful setting. The beer garden looked clean and spacious, and the inside was very sweet, and cleaned regularly. Prompt service, we were never kept waiting, the waitresses were friendly and professional, they were working really well as a team. Food was exceptional for the price. Dare I say the best battered fish I've ever had?!? Delicious! The steak was delightful too, cooked just how I requested and melt in your mouth. Chips we're great on both of our meals! The owners are friendly too, and we're both there working alongside their team running the evening really well. Really recommend visiting this place, will be our new local for evening meals, as its only a short drive from Okehampton. Thankyou guys!
