Nutwell Lodge in East Devon

Visited last Saturday evening 12th March 2022 as a party of 4. Whilst the meal was enjoyed by us would like to say roasties weren't to their usual standard of being crispy. The mashed potato was virtually non existent ( a little bit of stuck on mash in dish ) and a lack of usual veggies. Apart from that meal was delicious. Yorkies, gravy and meat delicious. Didn't like to say anything on the evening as meal was lovely apart from that. Staff very helpful and accommodating.

Despite pouring rain this restaurant was well attended by diners throughout. The carvery was excellent and my daughter and I were seated at one remaining table which was lucky. The ambience was good and we discovered that many people travel distances and book on a weekly basis. The car park is the largest I have ever seen adjacent to a pub. They boast a very good disabled toilet requiring a friendly member of staff to open with a key.Deserves 5 stars.

Lovely Carvery with my wife today as always. The service is amazing. The whole team are so friendly and personable. Well done to the whole team at the Lympstone Exmouth Toby.

Good value for money, friendly staff. Particularly liked the peppered mushrooms and the coffee. The only thing I would have improved was availability of the eggs; it was a fairly quiet but there was always a wait for these.

Yes well not been here for a few years but our daughter said was nice so we decided to go i had the large cavery we couldn't believe the amout of meat that chef put on plate it was delicious we both really enjoyed it friendly staff will definitely go again 😀 😋

Simply the best carvery I've had! Meat and vegetables full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Friendly, accommodating staff who, despite the restaurant being fully booked, still managed to squeeze us in! Will be back for another delicious lunch very soon!

I can not recommend this restaurant enough! Such wonderful staff that can not do enough for you, nothing is to much trouble! Food is lovely and on the odd occasion something has been not up to standard then the lovely manager rectifies the problem straight away. They are part of the blue light scheme which is excellent. Definitely value for money

I love a carvery & this didn't disappoint. Came here as I used to visit back in the day when it was Nutwell Lodge. Was a little wary now that it is part of a big chain but needn't have worried, staff were very helpful & the food was great plus it's really well priced. Went quite early (around 6pm) and it was very quite.

Iv been to a few Toby carverys and I have to say this one has to have been the best by far … the meat was succulent, the roast potatoes were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on inside, the veg was cooked to perfection. I had gammon and pork for my meat and it was delicious. The place was clean tidy and the staff very welcoming and friendly. When back down this way we will definitely visit again

The staff we're lovely. Very welcoming atmosphere. Table was nicely separated so you felt like you had a little privacy from other diners. The restaurant including the toilets were spotless and as each diner left their table area was thoroughly cleaned. The food was wonderful and we had a lovely lunch. If you get the chance to visit for a meal then we can highly recommend this Toby
