Had the Tamarind Duck which was fantastically crispy, and Thai Duck Curry with a slow building heat, loved both dishes.Definitely going back again!

Just picked up a last minute Thai at Sawatadee, faultless I’m fussy like a bit of heat and freshly cooked, happened while we waited. Talked politics while we waited, similar views, and hey presto out it came. Took it home ate it with a glass of wine, superb !!! Will be back again soon!

Instead of getting food delivered from our local Chinese takeaway, we drove six miles to collect our order, in search of the traditional fresh flavours of Thai cuisine... we ordered a shared starter, a hot and sour soup and two vegetable pad thai. The starter was nice enough but expensive. The soup was ok but not very spicy, the Pad Thai was garnished with lemon instead of lime and it did little to mask the overwhelming sickly flavour of cheap sweet chilli sauce! (not a traditional ingredient for good reason!)As prawn crackers were not included in our £30 order, we added them for an extra £1.80 but they were inedible due to unpleasant texture and musty flavour. Very disappointing!

My husband and I love the Thai food at this restaurant. We have been going there over the last four years. The food is always spot on everytime. You get exactly what you expect. The food is always a piping hot temp. The spices are perfect and the service is prompt timely and always with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble.

Hello..fellow diners..we visited this restaurant for a family birthday celebration..yesterday. The staff were warm and welcoming and the menu is full of variety and excellent for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The interior decoration is plain and simple but the food was delicious and subtly spicy, evoking happy memories of travels in thailand..the food is also reasonably priced.. as in the wine. Another positive, is the interesting non alcoholic drinks menu..all in all a very relaxed and enjoyable meal.

First time eating Thai food and it was Fantabulous, the lady serving us was very informative and helpful and for the first time in a looooooong time my husband and I actually managed a three course meal. The perfect ending to such delicately flavoured food is their home made ice-cream. We will definately eat Thai again.

My food was fine. But they were actively aggressive at the question "do they have anything for vegans or vegetarians?" "No! " was the answer. Clearly everything has fish sauce in it and is pre-made so they can't do it without. It was actually amusing at how rude and angry the owner was. How preposterous was the attitude. But we normally eat at jasmine Thai in Exeter which has a massive vegan selection, and is better in every single way!

After discovering the wholesome, delicious, and authentic Thai food from Sawatdee, we have been regulars over several years now. Lovely friendly people, and takeaway food that is healthy as well as delicious, what more could you ask!
