Last time I went here the onion bahjis might as well have been from Tesco. Food was okay let down by this. Shame. Used to love this place

Very good , great food . Polite staff ...

Used to be good but they never answer the phone now. Quite frustrating and I have decided not to give my custom anymore.

Completely stumbled on this place by accident. I stopped off in Honiton to take a break from driving. Thought I'd tread myself to a curry place. And tried here. It was genuinely one of the best curries I've had.I'm a Londoner, and a curry fanatic. I must have tried hundreds of curry houses across London and the south of England over the years. So was amazed to find this hidden gem.Staff were nice. Service was efficient. Decor was so so, but I think that added to it's character. And the food... Was perfect. Naan was fluffy. Rice was flavoursome. And the vindaloo I had was spot on. Strongly recommend this place. It's pretty far away, but I'd even consider travelling back just for the curry.

Visited for an evening meal with friends on a recommendation. The food was really tasty and plentiful however the decor & ambience was not great. Finished plates left on the table for much too long before being cleared away. We would get a takeaway but probably not eat in the restaurant again.

We stopped at The Brave Gurkhas for some dinner on our way to Cornwall as we had been on the road for several hours since leaving London. It was so nice to find such a lovely Nepali restaurant in the sweet little market town of Honiton. We had super tasty meal that was modestly priced and delicious. I accidentally left my hat at the restaurant, however, Laxmi made an extremely kind gesture when she posted it back to me. That meant a lot as the hat had a sentimental value. Definitely heading back to The Brave Gurkhas next time we make a trip to Cornwall. Highly recommended! x

I just have a Chef’s special with pilau rice and chicken tikka from the Tandoor and also garlic naan for the first time in this restaurant. I was EXCELLENT !!Thank you so much I will come back againIt’s definitely the best Indian restaurant in Honiton.

We were a bit late arriving to Honiton but luckily this lovely restaurant was serving food till late! And what a food. Best Nepalese I've had in UK. Also Nepalese beer to flush it down was spot on.Will come again!

Food was amazing. It was all cooked to order and does not Include a microwave. will definitely be going back. but be prepared for a 25min wait for mains. if u want a table u need to call ahead during this virus. they are operating only a few tables because of the space.

Great tastes, great quality, great value.Takeaway review: My review is only based on one of the meals on offer - but it's so good, I hesitate to try anything else! It's the lamb curry... full of big chunks of meat, no fatty or otherwise inedible bits, and a very tasty thick sauce. There's enough to split into 2 meals if you're not a big eater. It's my favourite, so far - but I have a lot of sampling to do. It makes Sunday evening well-worth looking forward to... I recommend having the delicious garlic and chilli naan bread to mop up the sauce, as an alternative to rice. All-in-all, a great value, tasty meal - you won't be disappointed 😃
