The aviator in East Devon

Must have been psychic! Had just closed but keen to help a flagging cyclist with a cuppa and some chocolate. Plus I got to watch a chap in a plane practice his landings. Thanks will pop in again during the correct hours!

We held a private party here and it was brilliant! The staff were great, the food was wonderful and the band who the chef is a member off were absolutely fantastic!

Short lunch break during stopover on Dunkeswell Aerodrome.Friendly staff, quick service, tasty food.Great atmosphere when sitting outside and following the operations on the airfield.Will come back.

Choice of amazing home made cakes.Sat outside watching the light aircraft take off and land..

Absolutely amazing. Lots of training planes you can see and take photos. Food is good too.

A lovely place, with the choice to sit inside or sit outside on the picnic benches. With a selection of foods, or stop for a drink with a slice of a massive piece of cake. I didn't try any of the cake, but several other people did while I was there and all seemed to be enjoying it.Toilets available. And there was plenty of action from the airfield to watch.

Service was diabolical, she did not want to be there, chewing gum, rude,Nothing for children to drink, apart from extremely expensive fruit juice, or diet coke, no ice cream etc,Previous visits we have enjoyed meals. With friendly staff,Unsure if we will return again after today

Great inside and outside eating area with a view of the airfield. Friendly staff and tasty food. Great ride out for bikers. Kids love it too.

Great spot to enjoy light refreshments right next to the small airfield in Dunkswell. Reasonable menu and prices. Only real fault was the outdoor seating area which needs some TLC.

Visited today for the first time in a few years. It still has the same feel.We had a couple of burgers and this is where you lost a star on your rating.The presentation was sloppy. It was just thrown on the plate, grease drips on the plate from where the burger was made on the plate. The burger patty was cooked to an inch of its life, it was dry. I'm guessing either done in a fryer, or precooked and reheated, same vibe with the sausages.Then thrown together on a plate, with a shovel of chips thrown down. Somehow there were chips in my burger, under the bap.The plate was missing something, some garnish, a bit of colour.But saying that it still tasted great. It's just a shame that the £13 meal was cooked and presented like a £7 meal.Chocolate cake is to die for. You know it's homemade because it was slightly burnt.As per usual, we will be returning.
