"Deborah and Jason welcome you to the Balfour Arms, a fantastic community pub that you would be proud to call your local. Our chefs are very proud of the food they produce, from the children's food through to the best steaks. Check the menu and have a look at the extensive range of good, home cooked food. There is going to be something for everyone. Our fabulous restaurant is table service and can also be hired as a function room for all events from weddings and engagements, funeral receptions, birthday parties to children's parties. Hire of the function room is free, and we will ensure that it is decorated exactly to your specifications. There is great entertainment from live music, open mic nights, karaoke and more."

Having tried a couple of other local pubs who had stopped lunch service, four of us arrived at the end of the service at the Balfour. The wonderful staff arranged for the chef to continue cooking for us. Food was really tasty and the beer well kept. There was a happy atmosphere and a welcome from the locals. I would recommend the Balfour Arms to anyone.

TIDES OUT! The landlady refuses to pour a full pint and tries to get the rest of the staff too pour you sort also. Its not hard just fill the glass and don't give your CUSTOMERS attitude when they ask for the rest of thier PINT (568ml)

We ordered a roast dinner but unfortunately the beef was hard and chewey and the vegetables undercooked. The mash (or whatever that was) had some awful curry taste/smell to it. And the plate came with the gravy already poured on everything.

Brilliant dinning experience and the food was amazing. Wish they'd been a better selection of draft beers but the atmosphere of the pub compensated for this somewhat. Recommend
