First time here and won't be the last great food and great staff.

Without doubt one of the best restaurant in Honiton!I’ve visited Birds Nest few times and the food was always first class! Quick and great service!Staff and owner are very friendly and professional.Definitely would come again!

Excellent takeaway food always ready very promptly. Generous portions and possibly the best lemon chicken I've had this side of London.Phoned just before 9.30 tonight to place an order and unless I wrongly heard the words "we're not doing that any more" in respect of orders for tonight, as the completely different meaning "we're not doing that anymore" in respect of at all ever, in addition to also mistaking "we're closed now" for "We've closed down" then my favourite Chinese may be no more. I sincerely hope not because it's hard to fault and its absence would leave a large gap unfilled in Honiton- not to mention in my belly! . . I do hope I misheard several words twice over (in which case I'll then query the results of my last hearing test! ) but if not then this is not good news. I'm not sure either whether that's the complete restaurant gone/ going or just the takeaway aspect.To lose either or both would be a great shame as I've always found the bird's nest to be very deserving of the high ratings, my own included.18/3/22 EDIT: still in business and still doing takeaways too!

Awesome food and very friendly staff

The staff were very attentive. In the main the food was good. We ordered:- aromatic duck with pancakes. The duck was curiously diced rather than pulled. Meant it wasn't so easy to roll the duck in the pancakes;- king prawns in black bean sauce which was yummy;- crispy shredded beef which was very crispy and one of the best I have tasted; and- satay chicken. This was slightly disappointing. The initial taste was promising but then it tasted as though it had too much white pepper in it.

Beautiful place to spend time and have a lovely dinner...the staff is super friendly and helpful most likely we will be going again and we do recommend it with flaying colors.
