Nice setting, first time I visited. Not too much choice of draft beers/ales but enough to cover most peoples tastes. They seem to have plenty of gin to choose from as well as tea, coffee and cakes.Didn’t eat but did enjoy the decked area outside. There is plenty of car parking and level access from the car park to the bar.

Great Sunday roasts with unlimited gravy and yorkshires, good choice of wines, spirits and beers

wow a fabulous pub with great fresh beerimpressed with the staff and a garden with a good view of the sunset don't like that it's only card payment. discriminating for the older people. Now quite expensive 1 beer and 1 double gin and tonic allmost 16 poundsOnly go there now as a special treat.

An absolute delight.First time in Exeter visiting some friends, they took us to this amazing pub, although it's not as old as it may seem they've done an incredible job creating a tavern like atmosphere with beautiful wooden beams and stone slab flooring, really great pub, not sure how the price compares to others in the area, I imagine about the same but compared to the north it was bloody expensive!Food was delicious though and Thursday nights the burgers were £10 so a discount on certain days is always a bonus. Also for those with a dog, they're a dog friendly pub with water bowls and treats which was really nice.

Expensive, over priced, ham egg and chips rather uninspired for £12.45, £5.40 for an IPA. Sunday roast is probably the high point of the menu. Staff are friendly. Coffee is the most reasonably priced drink.

Fantastic service by the staff! Only dropped a star as I wasn't keen on the roast dinner, I love all the other meals I have had within the Hall & Woodhouse brands though so maybe it was just a bit of an off day.

For the price of it I was very disappointed. The look started well. My burger was bland no flavour and my chips were covered in salt. When I complained I got no apology and was just left to it. Won't be returning

Nice place, food was good staff friendly although it did say last order fir food was 15:00pm was shocked when informed kitchen was closed at 14:40!! Felt under pressure to place a quicker detail for food.

We ate here in early July and it was also the day of an England football game so it was pretty quiet! The service from our waitress was very friendly and efficient. We ordered scotch egg and whitebait for starters (the scotch egg was a little disappointing as it was like a supermarket one with a hard yolk and not a restaurant quality one with a runny yolk, though it was at a low lower price that they normally are), mains were a full rack of ribs and a pie (both good portions and very tasty). We were too full for dessert but they looked huge from seeing another table's!
