Fab local pub located in Tipton St John. Great well kept local ales and delicious home cooked food. Park the car in Newton Poppleford and walk up the river and get some lunch.

They have a great chef. The jugged venison was delicious. Book well in advance if you want dinner. We only managed to squeeze in for lunch.

Incredible pub, friendly staff and great food. The Yorkshire was the best I've ever had (the whole roast was amazing). We went three times while on holiday and everytime the food was fantastic and the staff great. Massive garden for sunny drinks and food, with a sheltered terrace for when it's not quite as good. Would highly recommend visiting.

Cozy but sophisticated! A charm of a country pub with a surprisingly high standard and delicious food. Really enjoyed our meal and experience.

Great mid week lunch. Very surprised how busy it was for a Wednesday lunch time. Great selection of dishes and staff were so welcoming and helpful. Some great decor on the walls and spotlessly clean.
