The Grove in East Devon

Just called in for a quick drink, were told very quickly and rudely by the front of house that there were no tables despite it being mostly empty. Explained we were only having on drink and had eventually managed to be sat on one of the many empty tables. Poor customer service

Superb food and I requested a first table on my online booking and we got it. Was gorgeous day because the beautiful original fire. This pub is at the end of my road where I live and I love it. Thankyou

Excellent place to eat, I had Chicken Supreme, wow. Beauitful. Not cheap but the staff are so helpful, we got a table when they were very busy. A wedding reception in the upper function room. We will be back. Highly recommeneded.

Had a lovely Sunday meal there last night, 13th February. Lovely warm atmosphere and the food was delicious 😋 I had the half chicken dish and it was huge!! The staff were very friendly especially the guy who seated and served us. Thank you

I wouldn’t go back.. service was poor and soooo over priced! We all had roasts costing nearly 20£ a head.. which I do not mind paying for if good quality, the gravy was like water & hardly any veg couple potatoes... Save your money.

Lovely venue and location. Great doggo to person ratio! Had a very long wait for our food, and to even get our order taken, for that matter. What we received was overpriced and underwhelming. Mine was particularly bad - under normal circumstances I would have sent mine back, but I didn't want to cause a fuss on my sister's bday.

Very comfortable, very welcoming staff to me and my huge hound, and the food always looks very good. A lovely coffee is made here. A nice place to relax in the evening after a long day at work.

My sirloin was grilled to medium rare perfection. Not often that I find a steak cooked this good whilst out. Service can’t be faulted either. Definitely recommend.

Great service and food lovely but over faced by large portions. We shared a crispy white bait, it was huge and then I had a burger with about a kilo of chips!. Suffice to say no room for desert!

Pleasant pub by the seafront. Nice outside seating area. Food was served hot and tasted quite good even if my lamb was a bit dry. A bit of some kind of sauce would have been nice. Desserts were great. Staff friendly and helpful. Would go back if in the area again.
