Beautiful carvery and great gluten free options. Great pub, very well kept and spaced out with screens between booths. We had a lovely desert. The area is easy to get to and a stunning view.

Nice homely surroundings. Attentive staff. Excellent carvery reasonably priced drinks. Nice garden with a children's play area. Ample parking nice open plan eating area not cramped or restrictive. Enjoyable experience all round

Two good sized car parks excellent service and friendly staff very dog friendly. All food especially the carvery is excellent quality and quantity. Large restaurant large bar area and function room plenty of tables. If your in this area and want a pub restaurant with or without family this is it.

This pub serves one of the best carvery's in east Devon. It's a large pub with lots of seating and play area, but very popular so you'll need to book most of the time. In addition to the carvery they offer a decent menu with the usual pub food options. Highly recommended.

We booked in for early lunch so place not crowded, also carvery really fresh and hot.We both had senior portion carvery and as usual plenty of chosen meat and helped ourselves to vegetables. I had booked table in advance which was by the window with a nice view, could see the sea in the distance. We skipped desert as our eyes had been bigger than our stomachs when filling our plates.

This place is a beautiful location. The staff are so warm & welcoming. My husband's family has been going there for the past 12 years. This is a "Special" place because this is where we family come together as one at Christmas.Would DEFINITELY recommend this lovely place. As you will go back again.

Lovely pub that has a relaxed atmosphere with great food, especially the carvery. Good selection of beers and gin (that pleased the wife) and the staff are friendly with service with a smile. Great place for families.

Had a carvery meal here today I highly recommend the Hare & Hounds near Sidmouth. The food was really good everything well cooked served by very pleasant staff. We had the carvery followed by Lemon Meringue pie. Both were excellent. We will definitely be going again.

Came to visit Sidmouth for a few days with my partner. We found this lovely pub on our travels. Dog friendly and really accommodating to our big friendly giant (Obi). We had to order at the bar for all food and drinks, although a little slow to start, they were very busy so not overly bothered about the wait. Service was spot on and staff were very attentive. Food was absolutely delicious! I ordered a steak (blue) which was cooked to perfection. My partner had a burger which he said was outstanding. Overall lovely pub, in the middle of nowhere! Lovely atmosphere too. Highly recommend!!!

Huuuuuge selection of puddings. I took a video but can't upload it for some reason.The carvery is the best part though. They are extremely generous with the nest which is the best bit. After that, you are free to serve yourself the rest, which consists of braised cabbage, stuffing balls, mini sausages, roast potatoes, all the sources and much more veg.
