The Hunters Lodge Inn in East Devon

Stopped here on drive home from Charmouth. Lovely venue with plenty of space inside for dining and large garden. 3 over 70s enjoyed main meals and drinks. I had a special of sea break and new potatoes which I enjoyed. Small portion of fish though. Ham egg and chips was excellent as was chicken breast meal. Quick service too.

Came in late from a long drive back to Southampton and kitchen was just about to close and they still sat us. The staff where really friendly and helpful. The food came out hot and fast and was delicious. This is a great pub and I wish I lived closer so I could go there more often. 10/10.

Very busy. Turned up just in time before they started turning people away just after reopening on Sunday at 6. So advice is book! Staff are great. Young but very professional and the best bit about the Hunters lodge.

Great food, lovely welcome and staff very efficient. The only observation was that more attention to detail required when preparing food and reading the orders... I had a salad arrive with my meal after requesting peas… This could of been corrected, if I were approached to ask if everything was alright, but that wasn’t done until the plates were taken away..By no means a show stopper.. as the food was lovely but other than that, I would of given 5 stars 👍🏼Thank you 🙏🏼

We ate there twice. Both times the staff were very helpful. It was, spacious, even tho it was quite busy. The menu wasn't massive, but all the food was delicious. Dig friendly and a big play park and eating area. Would recommend a visit

Good food with Veggie / Vegan options on the menu. Timely service from pleasant and friendly team. Good range of drinks with some local beers. Very easy access being situated next to the main road.

Lovely pub, staff and food. 5 bean chili was a small portion and the chocolate brownie cheesecake looked gorgeous but was more brownie topped with cream. Everything else was a delight

Fantastic food and lovely staff. Delicious starters and puddings. The steaks for mains were amazing! Such great value for money too. The two ladies working were both lovely as well. Such a nice little pub!

We booked for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed! Lovely staff and lovely meal! Lots of veggie options, we had the nut roast, the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were to die for and the deserts were yummy and fast service! Could not recommend enough!
