This was our second lunchtime visit to The Lanb and Flag and was not disappointed. We both chose the Gourmet Burger which was huge and cooked to perfection. The waitress was really friendly and efficient. We will definitely be visiting again in the New Year.

Came here for my auntie’s birthday. Group booking of 15 people. Only 2 members of staff and both extremely rude!!! Food was shocking.Hot wings freezing cold in the middle, so was the bread on the starter.Ice cream tasted off and today the two people that ate the ice cream have severe stomach pains and sickness!Potentially the worst restaurant I have ever visited in my life.

Not sure where all these people ate, but my steak was definitely still alive when asked for medium rare. The normal ribeye was £19 and the surf and turf was £23 the difference in the dishes was 3 small deep fried or microwaved (apparently king prawns). When the meal came out it was drenched in oil, and the salad was warm.My wife had the so called home made fish cakes, they looked as if they were deep fried and straight from the packet. For desert we both ordered brownie, when it came out it had been microwaved so much you touch it with a spoon and it turned to liquid. We asked for table water and it never arrived, the waitress was on her own but when looked over she was tucking into a packet of doughnuts. I'm not sure if they have a chef and they are trying to keep the place going, which I respect. Just don't charge high end prices for the standard of food they were producing. On the plus side the waitress discounted the 1 appletise my wife had for the inconvenience.Friendly staff, but everything else about our experience was really below average.

They were a bit pushed when we went to this pub with only two people working, one in the kitchen one doing everything else but we didn't have to wait long to be seated and served. Food Menu was somewhat smaller than posted on the web but it was lunch time so might be limited. None the less it came quickly despite the number of customers and the two staff and was as much as we could eat. Lamb burger and chips all cooked perfectly. Too many times a simple meal like this has something amiss but not here, this was very good value. Staff were attentive efficient and friendly. Gin of the day was delicious and cider and lemonade was perfectly balanced.

This was a fantastic find when staying in the local area. Apparently it's really excelled recently and we were recommended by our B&B owners. Great food and reasonably priced. thank you

Great tapas meal, but no real ale on tap. Delivery hadn't arrived. Nice little place, will return!

Had Groupon deal here for dinner. Excellent meal and great value. Very pleasant server who was doing everything from serving drinks, clearing tables and taking orders but with a smile
