The Marine in East Devon

We came here on Good Friday so it was busy. We sat inside and were bumped into on several occasions by both staff and customers. The food took nearly an hour to arrive, but was nice and hot when it did. We live locally, can't say I'm too keen to return; the location is lovely, the food was nice but the delay and the lack of space inside wasn't ideal.

Nicely fitted out bar/pizza restaurant on the seafront in Sidmouth. Good pizza and selection of tapas. We went on a Sunday evening so it was very quiet but service was efficient and friendly.

Wet Tuesday evening in Sidmouth, but what a discovery and delight The Marine was. From the moment we entered, until leaving 2 hours later, wall to wall brilliant service and super food and drinkEllie was just amazing, guys, you're lucky to have her, an absolute credit to your front of house

A very good place in Sidmouth for pizza/bar. Staff friendly. Have given 4stars simply because they could not supply capers for my Napoli . Otherwise brill.

Good food, good service and comfortable surroundings. This place has been transformed to a very nice place to visit.

Food was average with little to no seasoning. Service was very slow, booked table for 5.30 didn't leave until 8.30. I do not expect to wait that long for fresh pizza. Also items on the menu displayed as gluten free were not, the vegan and gluten free brownie and ice cream contained gluten in the ice cream there was no other alternative. Overall this place has potential but definitely needs work

Enjoyed a delicious meal here this lunch time. My mussels in Cider with the focaccia bread and chips was absolutely delicious. My friend had a delicious large pizza to much to eat so had a box to take the rest home. Good service could do with soft music. Will be back.

So glad that the Marine is back. Good food, good vibe. Cant wait for it to offer the full menu. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Great esplanade location with a wide selection of local beers on tap at reasonable prices. Plenty of wines and spirits also available. Friendly and helpful staff. The pizzas which are made to order are delicious and plentiful. Lots of outside seating when weather permits. Free WiFi is available as is on street parking.
