Just been with my friend and her dog had a lovely afternoon Devon tea food was fabulous and the green tea was to die for would go again highly recommended it. Friendly staff to.

A lovely tea room. Beautifully decorated, tea served in china cups and a very nice selection of cakes. The Cheddar and rosemary scones are delicious! We didn't try a main course but the menu looked very tempting and reasonably priced. The owner and staff are all very friendly. I will definitely visit again.

Walked to shops to buy a Sunday paper saw the sign that Merchants were open for Sunday lunch.Glad that on impulse I decide to treat myself, enjoyed hugh portion of roast pork ,Yorkshire pudding, potatoes and a very good selection of veg.Very friendly helpful service, reasonably priced , I even indulged in a chocolate mousse, siesta time now!!

I ordered a cake for my mothers 70th birthday and not only was it decorated beautifully but was utterly delicious!

Exceptional scones, cream and jam.This place is really excellent. A large selection of teas and cakes. The jam was award winning - and for good reason! There is also loads of choices for anyone who is gluten free and the gluten free scones (pictured) were just as wonderful as the other ones.

Had a really lovely stop over at this cafe having travelled on the tram from Seaton. The cafe has friendly service and I had the best scone in the cafe. They should advertise just for the warm scones..thank you

Very friendly, welcoming staff in a clean and well presented tea room. Great selection of reasonably priced food and drinks a lot of which was home made. We had a fantastic cream tea each with home made scones, clotted cream and jam. Would highly recommend a visit if they can fit you in.
