The Otter Inn in East Devon

Brilliant, very helpful and pleasant staff, food is great, dogs allowed...the 2 4 1 special is fantastic and makes going out to eat affordable again. Super garden to sit outside (except that we haven't done so yet as the 3 times we have visited its been raining!) and loads of room inside. Highly recommended

Visited the Otter on 11/06/2022.I would like to thank all the staff and management for making my mums 95th birthday so special.They accommodated 30 of us, the food was good and the service was excellent! So much appreciated.

Great pub. Food not great. Good for drinks. Friendly staff. Great location, sat outside was lovely and relaxed with the beautiful cows in the field opposite looking over. Deffo come here for a drink, the location is beautiful, right by a river and stunning views.

Nice pub, friendly staff, sat outside so can't comment on inside , plenty of seats outside with lots of space in-between. The two for one menu is very good value , one comment, I had Ham egg and chips , try serving two eggs and you get six stars. Would recommend and will be going back to check on the eggs

We have just left the Otter Inn after a fantastic lunch stop on our way home from our holiday.We sat in the garden which had plenty of benches and a small play area with swings and a slide, perfect for our kids ages 2 and 3. There is plenty of parking, with a river right next to it which was great for stone throwing and paddling. The menu had a lovely selection of food and a brilliant 241 offer that we took advantage of. We didn't wait long for the food to arrive and is was fantastic, couldn't fault it. Nice friendly staff and clean toilets made the whole experience pleasant. We didn't spend long inside (just went in to order) but it had a lovely 'proper pub' vibe.

Just moved to Gittisham so this was our first outing to the Otter Inn and we were not disappointed. Beautiful setting by the river, plenty of room / tables, friendly staff the interior was very atmospheric will be back next week. Certainly going to be our new local

Just moved to the area and can say that this pub will be a regular going forward. Great atmosphere ,pet friendly as well. Will be gorgeous in the summer months in the garden. Food here is good quality for the price. Staff go out of their way to ensure you have a good time . Would highly recommend

Had an amazing meal at The Otter this evening. We went for the 2 for 1 offer and this was fantastic value - huge portions and the food was excellent. The staff were super helpful and provided fast service too. Highly recommend ☺️👍🏼

Typical country pub in large gardens and with ample parking. The pub is quite large with an attached dining room with low beamed ceiling.The staff a pleasant enough. The beer and food are OK but nothing special.I had fish and chips. The chips to be fair were well cooked but the fish isn't freshly prepared and appears as though is is processed fish from a packet. Ok for a beer on a sunny day but I can't recommend dining.

We hadn’t been out to eat on Christmas Day before so we were a little worried about missing the home cooked roast experience, but we needn’t have worried. The food was excellent and the staff were outstanding. It was really busy but the staff were so good that we wanted for nothing and it never felt like we had to wait. We had room enough around our table that we were able to open presents with the kids and they had space to play.There was so much food we all boxed up the plentiful leftovers and took them home - Boxing Day lunch sorted!!A really good experience we may have to repeat next year!
