The Pea Green Boat in East Devon

Beautiful restaurant with stunning views, great service and the food was faultless.

The restaurant is simple but elegant. Given the fact that is on the sea front has an excellent view. The service was excellent, I had mussels which were excellent, a very good sized portion, the other dishes were also delicious which was visible from the very clean plates. The wine selection it is very on point, small list but a very good choice of wine.All in all it was a very good experience, will return when the weather improves as i would like to sit outside and enjoy the view.

Ridiculously fabulous food.. highly recommended. We had the Cote De Boeuf, along with two starters, and a splash of gin.. Wonderful..! We will return..!

Can’t speak highly enough of our experience here this evening. The menu is great. All three courses were spectacular, the wine was great quality and all very reasonably priced. We also had a great chat with the very affable and charming owner. Highly recommend.

Popped in for dinner on wet and windy evening. Minimalist skandi style interior. Staff are very welcoming and professional. Good wine list with some interesting variations from the norm.I had calamari to start and risotto formain. My wife had the monk fish tail with curried puy lentils. It was all delicious and piping hot. Would thoroughly recommend. Check opening times before you go and you won't be disappointed with the Pea Green Boat.!

We visited early on Saturday evening and had a great experience.The restaurant itself is quite small, a single room with white washed walls and scrubbed pine tables. There is a patio outside for those warmer evenings.We ordered three starters. Calamari, Scallops and Wild mushrooms on toast all of which were delicious.Main courses were Rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce, whole Baked Plaice x 2 and half a Lobster.The food was excellent, well cooked, well presented and extremely tasty. Portions weren’t huge but they were sufficient to fill us up.We ordered one Creme Brûlée desert and a Pomona, a local apple Brandy with apple juice. A bottle of Vouvray at £32 pushed the bill up considerably but we enjoyed it though I preferred a glass of Muscadet at £8.This isn’t a cheap restaurant but you get what you pay for these days.Food was excellent.Service helpful and friendly.Environment comfortable.Venue, right on the sea front.We couldn’t afford to visit every week but for a special occasion it was perfect.Total bill came to £174.59 for 4 people.For a more detailed review, see my Blog “in search of a Great Breakfast on Wordpress.

Easily the best fish dinner I have ever had. The lobster was unbelievable. So fresh and tasty. The kids had mussels and my dad had plaice, also so fresh and beautiful. Mrs and mum had the fillet, also 10/10. Could not recommend enough. The service and staff also matched the quality of food. Thank you for a lovely eating experience on the sea front!

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Sidmouth. They offer a limited menu but served beautifully. Simply presented, letting the main ingredients speak for themselves.Covid 19 safe. We will definitely return again on our next visit to the town.

Fantastic food and service. Make sure you book in advance as the restaurant is small and busy. We brought our Doggo with us as he was very welcome to sit inside or out. We will definitely visit again.
