The Point Bar & Grill in East Devon

Good food and efficient service . Scallops and fish & Chips were good . Lovely setting and dog friendly . A shame we couldn’t eat outside as they don’t serve food outside . It was a beautiful sunny day so would have been perfect .

Lovely meal, great venue. My review from 2020December 2021 returned for a lunch for 9 after many changes of numbers which were very courteously dealt with. Excellent, attentive staff who were not intrusive but there if needed. I had saddle of lamb from the extras menu which was absolutely delicious. All my fellow guests were pleased with their food and praised the venue. Must go again!February 2022. 16 of us for a delightful dinner. Beef Wellington was superb

Only went in for coffee, very welcoming, table service only. Not impressed with the coffee, not enough flavour for me but I am fussy, like a good cup with taste! Lovely spot and nice inside. Can't comment on the food, as didn't eat but heard others make great compliments about the food! Only 3 stars purely for coffee!

We celebrated my best friend's birthday in this lovely place. The food was very well presented and tasty, the staff was amazing even though the place was very busy. They all deserve the highest grade in my book!

Lovely chilled place on the marina with good drinks menu and lovely chilled staff. Perfect for a lazy afternoon with a drink.

This was a birthday treat for my wife and all had a great meal and celebration.Outstanding marine/fish restaurant with a superb fish inspired menu using local Devon produce. Superb table service and a lovely atmosphere within with plenty of outdoor seating.Superb views of the inner waterway and quay where you can watch the local boat owners driving their boats in and out the enclosed harbour.Lovely location for a special meal of just to chill with a glass of wine or a beer. Highly recommended.

By pure chance we stumbled across this restaurant whilst trying to find somewhere that had muscles. We were not disappointed. We had 2 starters (Scallops (photo only shows one Scallop but there were three) and Octopus) and a main course (muscles and chips) everything was fresh, perfectly cooked and very tasty. The service was also extremely good, friendly and efficient. We travelled nearly 3 hours to visit a nearby attraction for the day and would quite happily do the same to eat in this restaurant again. Thank you for completing our day off.

Had one of the worst experience at this place. Waiter seemed very circumspect and uninterested. When asked about bouillabaisse we were told it will have shellfish but ended up having a tiny plate with just cod in it. They had promoted Grolsh on their Instagram page but when orders got served a dead pint with no head on it!Not only us but most non-locals were asked to pay with the card machine handed out without even presenting a bill! Proper village stuff!
