The Red Lion Inn in East Devon

What a gem of a pub and hotel! The staff are all amazingly friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Just a great place. I will be using often on my visits to Exeter.

Lovely food, friendly staff and great setting

This tucked away pub was a pleasure to visit - the staff, food and setting were all delightful. My only criticism is the dogs that barked a few times, it was startlingly. Maybe seat diners away from the dogs that visit.

Lovely lunch in the garden, service with smiles and dogs made very welcome in the bar as well as outside. Great food all lovely and hot and generous.

Beautiful village pub, not pretentious and very friendly. Plenty of outdoor seating both next to the churchyard and in the beer garden. Good choice of local beers and spirits.Would definitely recommend.

Lovely but bit expensive and on a sunny day closed at 3pm

Stayed in Broadclyst for a family funeral and booked a table for 14 the night before. The food was excellent there wasn’t a single complaint and the staff are lovely. It was all so nice that we booked for the next night too.More expensive than the average pub prices but better quality than the average pub meal.

Fantastic staff and a great place to stay with a dog. Excellent value for money. Good honest pub food using lots of local ingredients (beware the large portions! ).

Went there on the off chance they would have availability on a Saturday evening for my partner and myself, staff very helpful and we enjoyed excellent food and drink, try the cassoulet if on really good. Would highly recommend the Red Lion at Broadclyst.
