A very special place for us. We have enjoyed staying at the Sea Shanty site for nearly 40 years and still love it. The Sea Shanty Cafe is very good too for breakfast and lunch.

Nice place on the SW Coast Path but had a strange interaction with one of the staff - I asked her if she would mind filling up my water bottle as we still had a way to walk after stopping for lunch and were running low on water. She did fill it but made me feel very guilty about it, saying that if they are busy and don’t have time for filling bottles. It took her 10 seconds to fill the bottle so was just quite rude - they must have tons of people coming through from the path so you’d think they would be more welcoming to walkers.

Good location, restaurant is very open and bright with a great view. Friendly staff. Decent price for its location. Only flaw was that some of my prawns were still half frozen

·

Lovely cafe , dog friendly, great food and staff , we walked from beer to Branscombe stayed for lunch walked along the beach and then walked back to beer ,lovely day

Walked from Beer to here which took about 40mins, great stop off, food was amazing (bacon, brie & cranberry sandwich) couple of great beers from a local brewery, welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely views out to the ocean.

Love this place, great food, lovely staff, helpful and nothing too much trouble. Fab atmosphere and amazing views. I was on my own with my dog and the staff helped me outside with my food and helped opening the doors for me which was very much appreciated. ( It's not easy on your own with a dog carrying food) thanks for all the help, ill be back 👏

We quite often eat here. Always clean and the staff are polite. Reasonably priced food. Had baguettes outside last time. Very tasty and nice fresh salad. The most critical I could be was the bread was the part baked stuff. To be fair it was still very tasty and the practicalities of getting fresh bread at Branscome everyday would make it too costly I suspect. We will definitely eat here again.

Went to the Sea Shanty today and had a lovely roast lunch. The staff are always friendly and the service is excellent plus the setting is stunning. If you just fancy a drink, a snack or cooked meal I would recommend a visit.

Great location, on the beach. Lovely staff and cheesy chips to die for. Best ever. Spanish bread with hummus and roasted pepper lovely too. Local drinks and beer. What's not to like!

Wonderful location. Convenient for long distance walkers as well as visitors in cars. Food decent and local beers available.
