Visited the Walter Raleigh on 2 April after diverting from the coast path. Friendly staff, superb selection of beers, sensible prices, will definitely be coming back.

Great pub with a lovely couple running it, great food and great cider. Even though covid measures are in place this still feels like a beautiful country pub. Great work guys. X

I take my grandad to this pub every week! There is a great selection of local ales and a fantastic choice of food. Also a great range of gluten free options both on the main menu and sunday lunch. Highly recommend!

Very pleasant village pub with history. Decent selection of ales and spirits - shame I was driving! Food was good and portion size was spot on. I had the fishcakes off the specials board and wasn't disappointed.Only downside for me was that the urinals in the gents had been attached to the wall by someone who was 6'8" - I'm 5'6" (I'll leave it there!😄) and the hand drier only provided a gentle zephyr.Overall though I was satisfied with my visit and would definitely go again.

Charming interior, friendly landlord, dog friendly! Arrive early if you want food and haven’t booked, as they kindly fitted our order in but the kitchen staff were nearly maxed out. Good cider. Good ham egg and chips. Reasonable veggie lasagne.
