Good food and very relaxing atmosphere staff very helpful and friendly

We were visiting Aylesbeare and decided to try White Horse Inn for tea. On arrival the staff were lovely and the pub is very clean. The menu has a good choice of foods. I ordered the Penne pasta with pesto and tomatoes and was really disappointed with my choice. It was very bland and definitely not worth £12. I agree with previous reviews on the food needing a revamp, way too pricey for what you get.

I've visited previously but my most recent visit was fantastic.Really tasty calomari with sweet chilli dip (that was requested over the original item) and melt off the bone lamb shankSeemed tidy and well cared for as a site, the staff came across as really friendly110% would return for a meal again

Food is on another level, staff polite, nice ambiance and lots of parking. 😁

·

Perfectly acceptable food. Lacking atmosphere but plenty of choice on the menu.

Food and service were both excellent. Asked for the lunchtime snack to be slightly tweaked and this was absolutely no problem.

After reading all the reviews we thought it must be worth it. We had reviewed the menu and knew it was a little pricey but thought we would try it anyway. The decor was very nice and the place clean and tidy and a nice atmosphere. The staff also very friendly. Only complaint was they cleared the table before we had finished. Now the food... £8.50 for Stilton mushrooms. I had just 4 small mushrooms, a small side salad with no dressing. Then had the ribs and chicken. For almost £18 it wasnt worth it. I've had better meals at lower prices and better quality elsewhere. Can't fault anything else apart from the cost of the meals. Starters should be around £4-5 and the main I had was worth about £10.

Had a wonderful meal last night for my birthday. The steak was perfectly cooked and so tender. The chips were amazing too. Lovely experience.

Rocked up this evening out of the blue to see if they had a table for 3 . Warm welcome , good menu and excellent food . Very good

Had the most amazing meal, the menu is one of the best I have seen in a very long time. The new Olive Garden has been very well done and cannot wait to sit in this area again. We interacted with four members of staff who could not have been more helpful and personable.
