Surroundings is very pleasant, the 2 waiting staff were excellent, we came for Sunday lunch, table of 6, we arrived early so new we had to wait to order our meal, when we had ordered, the food took an age to come out, the prawn cocktail was watery and not much flavour, must say the lamb shank was very tasty but was not very hot as was the rest of the meals, 4 people had the pork and was very disappointed with the size of the meal with 3 small and thin slices of meat, one meal was stone cold. Dessert was very nice but thought over priced, and never came back with the change they just assumed it was a tip. We didn’t complain at the time as waited so long we just eat and left. With a bit of tweaking this would of been a lovely experience

Good lunch with nice beer and wine. There was no pressure to finish and go; which was as well as we were meeting an old friend with lots of catching up to do.

Good for Sunday roast. Beef excellent, chicken not quite so good. Chef made special order for my fussy son. Gravy was nice if a little unusual. Rioja was good as was the sticky toffee pudding

Very tasty Sunday lunch. Relaxed surroundings. Attentive friendly staff. Booked for next weekend before we left . The best pub food in Verwood by far.

Thanks so much to Paul and the team for a fantastic Sunday lunch - the food was exceptional and we left with full stomachs and hearts! There was a lovely atmosphere with live music and everyone had a smile on their face. Service was prompt yet relaxed at the same time and the pub was warm and homely. The patè and garlic mushroom starters were delicious as were the roasts (pork and beef) with incredible gravy. We can't wait to visit again, and thanks again for a lovely experience - we will be recommending the Albion to all our friends and family, a must-do if you're in the New Forest area.

Fabulous food, unique surroundings, friendly & helpful staff, becoming a 'local' pub-from Shaftesbury!!😁

We were lucky to be able to reserve a table for dinner this Saturday evening, what a great pub, friendly, dog friendly, warm and inviting. We had the baked camembert cheese to share, what a scrumptious starter.Followed by fish and chips, and Steak Kidney pie for me.Both meals were delicious, the fish was fresh and thick with crispy batter. The steak/kidney was big chunks of meat served with a boater of tasty gravy. The server lady was happy, helpful and not overpowering. She did a great job making sure didn't have to ask twice for anything. So happy to tip the staff, we will return soon...pity we couldn't get a table for Fathers Day Lunch, but thats a credit to the staff; its been booked solid for 2 weeks.Great food, lovely beers, great staff and a brilliant price, wots not to like?...πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
