Belash in East Dorset

My first ever review but I feel the need to warn others of how poor the "indian" food is from this place. I've never thrown an indian take away in the bin before but this was so unpleasant I had to. The sauce was incredibly sweet and thin, it didn't taste like an onion had been anywhere near it, chicken was awful, the pilau rice was sweet, clumpy and plain white with pink and green bits, and the naan was only half cooked and falling apart. Extremely disappointed and it wasn't cheap either. Was a big let down on the Saturday night of my holiday. AVOID.

Very positively surprised. Ordered a variety of dishes, all extremely tasty and not oily at all (unlike other restaurants). Food tasted fresh and freshly prepared. Order was placed online and delivered well before due time. Will use again and definitely recommend.

Superb menu, service and most importantly, food. Chillies is gonna be our stop shop curry house. Thankyou and see you soon.20 take aways from the initial review... And still ongoing, says it all. Great value too.

SWIMMING in grease. Butter chicken was disgusting and undercooked. Ordered 2 lamb dishes and got chicken. Wrong drinks. Cold rice and naan. Won't be returning. Bloody disgusting

Very disappointing food. Please replace the chef. Very watery and bland.The owner, however, was very pleasant as was the delivery driver. I had to ask for discount as I wanted to order on the JustEat website (you can only order via Facebook, which not everyone has) and the owner was very obliging; only to be let down by the quality of the food.I would be willing to try again when a new chef is employed.

Disappointed not the best Indian that we have ordered and got delivered. took 30 minutes longer than said, didnt get mango chutney but got pink mint sauce ? onion bhajia not nice flat dry and over cooked. the biryani was quite spicy and the sauce was very salty. The meat balls jalfrezi we were unsure if cooked as they looked raw, so left that. Then to top if off one of the rice dishes didnt even get delivered so waited for that to turn up, then when it did a tub of grey stodge arrived which was meant to be coconut rice, yes you guessed it that got left too. Not the best £50.00 i have spent, and wont be using you again.

Been slowly working my way through the menu. They just get better and better. My new favourite chicken tikka garlic balti. Awesome. Great food, nice guys and the delivery guy always knocks quietly so he doesn't wake the kids too. Top marks.

The best Indian take away in the area. Dishes are really tasty and there is a great selection of dishes with some great Chef's specials that are really good and not available elsewhere. Never had a bad dish form the Belash. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good quality tasty Indian meal.

We ordered through Just Eat which will give you 20% discount if you spend £25 so we paid £20 and got chicken tikka vindaloo, paneer tikka jalfrezi, sag paneer, mushroom bhaji and pilau rice. If you order through Hungryhouse there is an extra £2 delivery for where we live. They say on their website that they take pride in their food being authentic and we certainly found this to be true. The paneer was definitely home made in the jalfrezi. We ordered the one poppadum and got three and a mint yoghurt dip for free as well. The rice had been coloured but from what I know, this is an authentic thing to do. All in all, we enjoyed it and were happy to order again one day, until we had a quick look at their hygiene rating on the Food Standards Agency and in January they scored just 1, "major improvement necessary". We will go back to Indian Moments which has always been consistently good, wonderful in fact with fresher tastes, in my opinion and has a hygiene rating of 4!

We have ordered from Belash Indian a few times and each time have received a really great meal.Prices seem quite cheap compared to alot of places and the dishes have always been really well made and full of flavour.Usually arrives well within the predicted time.Would happily recommend to friends and will certainly order again.
