Kings Head Restaurant in East Dorset

To be honest not much atmosphere due to lack of customers, only poped in for a drink with friends. But dead for a Friday night, service was nice and owner was chatty, hope they pick up and get busier, tricky place to run

Used to be a great family pub with a Scottish twist and excellent customer service. Now it's like eating under a Stalinist regime. Whatever you want, the answer is 'NO!!", and the customer is always wrong!

Lovely food. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff could have been a little friendlier, but they were all very nice and helpful. Not so sure about the service charge but hey ho. Optional but it was added to the bill anyway hence no tip.

After enjoying a very good meal here not long ago I returned today with two friends to sample the special lunch meal deal 2 courses for £13.We were very happy with our delicious meals, Fish pie & fish & chips , the fish pies were generous & the fish batter made with cider, crisp , crunchy & not oily. We had a different pudding each all fabulous, Berry crumble stuffed with strawberries, sticky toffee pudding & waffle with ice cream & sauce. Friendly helpful service all just perfect for our reunion😊 Thank you Kings Arms😊

Excellent venison fillet, very tender and tasty, with an imaginative mix of vegetables and tasty gravy. Good service, good beer.

Food full of flavour waiting a while but worth it 3 vegetarian options all looked good I had the nut roast all the vegetables well cooked a filling meal but needed a pudding it was expected 😋

We just had another wonderful meal at The Kings Arms. The pulled lamb shepherds pie with minted gravy was possibly the best meal I have ever eaten! My other half had the apricot stuffed pork loin which he said was delicious . The puddings were great as always and there’s a great selection of gins and tonic to choose from. The staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere this evening was perfect, busy but relaxed.
