My friend and I visited for lunch on a Saturday. The inn was about half full, so we had plenty of choice in where to sit. The lunch menu mainly consisted of sandwiches, so we had (between us) a BLT and a fish-finger sandwich. The food was tasty, and reasonably priced, for around £7 for a sandwich and £3 for chips (I had sweet-potato fries). The interior of the inn was also nicely decorated and there was ample parking. However, our experience could have been improved in a few ways: the food was lukewarm when it arrived, which was disappointing but not a big deal. Additionally, there was no table service as we were expected to order by app (we ended up ordering at the bar). However, these minor drawbacks did not take away from the pleasant experience, and we received great service from the staff hence the four star rating. All in all, we would return to this establishment. Thanks very much!

Visited for Sunday lunch for 3 and as always it was lovely. Service and food were excellent and it’s always a warm welcome and the Pub is very dog friendly. Always a pleasure popping in for a pint or food with the family as the staff always make you feel so welcome … love it !

First visit, but definitely the first of many! We were meeting friends new to the area. I phoned to check availability for lunch and Maya was super helpful and welcoming. Perfectly selected table, attentive staff and food & drinks were excellent! Thank You Team Angel

Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Service was prompt, and staff checked up on you frequently. We were served by a very new member of staff but she was a credit to her training because you would not have been able to tell. The food was fairly good overall, excluding one minor complaint. I was sorely disappointed by the lack of draught cider, and even more so by the lack of any apple cider (everything was berry flavoured), but otherwise the drinks selection was very good.Would highly recommend if you like live music as they have a performance every Friday.

I'm really sorry for the two starts but I have to do it. I've been twice having lunch here and the first time I've ordered fish and chips, fish was good but the chips just came 4 chips on the plate. The second time I've ordered pan fried seabass with risotto and the risotto looked and taste like the rise from a ready meal bags dry no like a proper risotto. And not that my wife had ordered a steak pipe and the mash tasted like the same as the risotto already made with a high prices for the food. The service is good like always, just the kitchen no that great for the money we are playing.

Had a lovely lunch pub meal at The Angel today, our waitress Chloe was extremely attentive and welcoming! I really enjoyed my plant based burger it was delicious. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there are only two vegan options on the main menu, would love to see more to choose from that’s vegan. My coke was also flat, but other than that it’s a lovely pub and I’m sure we will be back!

Really exceptional vegetarian roast, I added the truffle mash side dish too. Lovely setting, friendly staff, quick service, good value for money. I'd highly recommend and can't wait to revisit in the warmer weather and sit outside with a drink.

We went to The Angel Inn on Mothering Sunday and had a surprise gift on the table. Food was very good. Unfortunately a particular dessert did not specify what fruit was in it and my husband was intolerant to one of the fruits. This was changed for him. If we were to be in the area again, we would definitely go back.

Tasty food. But the service is terrible. Haven't cleared our table after starters, but already brought our main meals. With regards to the kids meal, we had only 2 chicken goujons with chips on the plate for £7.50 which in my view is not only ridiculously overpriced but also how could you serve peppery/spicy goujons for a child! So for £7.50 my child had only handful of chips. When I was back home checked their menu online and seen on kids menu, that kids meal supposed to come with free ice cream which was never offered. Most disappointing!!
