Imy looked after us very well. A great family pub with tasty food.

Visited on Sunday 13th March 2022 and found the staff friendly, the service was very prompt and the food quality very good. Will now make this a regular visiting place.

Staff not wearing masks. The only good thing was the building itself, beautiful and cozy. The rest is very disappointing, staff not welcoming, no normal coffee just filtered. Sandwich was freezing cold , French fries were good but because the sandwich was so cold it all together didn’t taste good. Won’t recommend.

Very nice Xmas lunch, but sadly lacking in atmosphere. No music and virtually no other diners which was disappointing. More support needed & deserved as the food us really good.

Was very quiet the night we went in and did feel under pressure to leave when we finished although it was only 9.15 and were last ones there. But food was ok I went for the Asian dishes.

Food was absolutely gorgeous!!!! Staff were very friendly too! Would definitely recommend the garlic mushrooms and the steak!! Will definitely go back 🙂

To my mum and mother in law for a meal today. Lovely thatched pub in a quiet location. The food was out standing. Full of flavor and excellent quality and also at a really fair price. Glad I found this place. Can't wait to come again

I felt quite let down by my visit, feedback & reviews are all high, yet my expectations where simply not met.1. Pre booking.. no allowed2. Staff & service basic, to many not allows & boss says "No" or vague non committing answers to basic questions, which meant I had to keep asking the same question in different ways to get a simple answer.3. Prices higher than expected.4. Food quality adequate, however portions smaller than expected5. Internal Areas & Hygiene very good, however not of a high standard, dirty surfaces ie tables, backs of chairs, walls, floors, which could be cleaned.6. Outside areas appalling, untidy, unloved & unwelcoming, rusty umbrellas, had to go through the staff smoking area to get to the outdoor areas. Health & Safety issues with containers of used oil stacked outside in direct sunlight. Sorry for 1 star, but I am not staying in a Tent or Camp site, so a large room for improvement.

I visited the Barley Mow on Sunday 29 August 2021 in the evening, a bank holiday weekend during the school summer holidays. I was with two other people. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to find the pub, which was easy and led me straight to the right place.I parked in the pub car park - parking was easy. The pub comprises of different dining areas with plenty of tables with table service.I had a Yellow Thai Chicken Curry for my main course and a Pecan Pie for dessert. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted OK. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me. The food was good value for money, I paid around £50 for three main courses, one dessert plus drinks.Whilst everything was generally OK the service wasn't fantastic. I tried to book online but didn't get a response so had to call. We were dealt with very politely but weren't given a great deal of attention. We were never asked if everything was OK (which it was, but is usually standard practice - this would have also given us an opportunity to top up our drinks), once our main course plates were cleared we were left to our own devices - we had to ask if we could have more drinks and ask if we could have dessert - this, despite this level of service being offered to the table next to us, even though they'd arrived after us. It wasn't very busy.Overall, whilst it was all generally OK I won't be rushing back.
