We had our daughter and son in law wedding vow renewal celebrations there yesterday. The hotel and staff were excellent from arrival to leaving this morning. Staff were so helpful and happy. The carvery was first class and the evening buffet was amazing. The rooms were beautiful and very clean Breakfast this morning was fabulous. Thank you Bridge House

Pleasant situation on the river Stour with swans and ducks and the sound of gentle flowing river and views across countryside.Room was a good size and comfortable with adequate storage.Bathroom a little awkward for us elderly folks as you had to step over a high sided bath to shower and no grab rails to hang on to.Rest of bathroom was OK.Food was good for breakfast and lots of places to sit inside or out on the sun decking where you could watch a lazy river scene .Plenty of parking space and walks along the river banks on both sides.Traffic going by was busy over the holiday period we were there but you could not hear it through the windows.Pleasant staff and courteous. We would certainly stay there again should we be in the area.Good to get to most places from there too.

We stayed here for two nights, overall we were happy.Nice car park with barrier and plenty of room, key codes given at reception for exit but didn't need it..Room was basic, but clean apart from a few cob webs between front door and bathroom. Beautiful view out the window, it was muggy so we had the windows open and it welcomed the bugs.Downsides were the bed was rock solid and could hear other room noise, but shoved the TV on and solved that.Breakfast both days was alright, we didn't rate the sausages and the apple juice must of been squash? Very watery.. oh and the filter coffee 😬 otherwise happily stuffed our faces.Wi-fi signal wasn't the greatest but worked enough for our needs 🤷♀️Our TV had an option to stick a usb/plug media into it to play.. but just watched film 4 😄

We came on a Sunday for the carvery which was delicious. The meat was lovely and the cauliflower cheese was a favourite! Our waitress, Sofia, was absolutely fantastic. She was extremely attentive even though it was very busy. We will be definitely back - many thanks.

What a little gem, in a convenient spot to visit all that Dorset has to offer. The hotel staff are very welcoming , friendly and efficient. The meals we have had sp far have been tasty and our bedroom spacious and the bed comfortable. Well done everyone who keeps this hotel running you are doing a fantastic job. Room 218 is great as it overlooks the river.

Sunday Carvery today was excellent. Fresh, tasty and good portion of the meat from the chef. You help yourself to the rest, the roast potatoes were crispy and tasty. The waiters were professional and cheerful. Well done, we'll be back! BTW the Eton mess was also yummy!!

Take my mum and auntie here, they love it. Good food at great prices. Friendly staff. A lovely way to spend a lazy afternoon. Comfortable cosy lounge area to sit in and enjoy a coffee after your meal

Haven't actually stayed here but have visited a few times for breakfast with friends. At £9.50 per head for an unlimited full English breakfast, it's actually quite good value for money. The staff are also very pleasant and very helpful. However, the breakfast facilities do close at 10.30am so be warned if you like a late breakfast. Ut is also quite centrally located for visiting Wimborne, Bournemouth and Poole, all within a few miles of the hotel.

Beautiful rooms, definitely go for a riverside room as cosy and classic rooms are on the road side which is quite a busy road, we upgraded when we realised. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Had some issues with our heating, couldn't turn our radiator off so the room felt like a sauna, had to sleep with the windows open, staff did try to rectify it. Bed was very comfortable, rooms were clean. No room service but has a lovely restaurant downstairs which serves food until 9pm. We did order a pizza one night which we were able to take to our room. The carvery was amazing. Will definitely return.

I had fish and chips with mushy peas, at what I thought was a reasonable price. The fish was a large piece, that covered the long plate and certainly wasn't out of a packet, the mushy peas came in a separate bowl. There was tartar sauce as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and as usual the staff are helpful and cheery.
