Went to the pizzeria last night for the first time since the change of owner. Pizza was OK, but disappointed that it has lost a lot of the energy, fun and quirky vibe of the old Bridport Stable that kept us coming back. What has changed?* There used to be 20-30 ciders with tasting notes.* The menu used to be fun and eclectic* The staff used to be very "on trend" and fun to chat to.* They used to have a spice and sauce table* They used to have live music or DJ.* There used to be great, fun art on the wall.I am sure it is now aiming for a different market. That is fine, but not to our taste. However, there were a couple of things that were just poor:* The lady who served us looked like she didn't want to be there.* It was cold. Every table had people sat in coats. We asked for the door to be closed, but apparently it has to stay open. I don't know why - perhaps it is COVID rules or something.I hope it gets back to something with a bit more character.

Really nice hotel on high street so can be a little noisy at time but they do provide ear plugs. Our room is very warm but Dyson air fan is in the room but is noisy on high setting. Lovely decor in our Deluxe king size. Downstairs restaurant and bar very nice. Lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. Great for shopping but beware car park is a little tricky to get to on your first visit Great price through Booking com and would recommend. Super soft beds, very clean, energy saving bulbs so not as bright as normal but set nice ambience.

We stayed 2 nights in a family room with our 2 kids. Such great value - brilliant room & breakfast was fabulous. It’s our third stay here & we’ll be back for more. Great service in the restaurant. We love the local coastline & Kingston Lacey the national trust gem nearby.

Went for pizza, didn't realize the Stables had gone , Fuller's have kept it the same, except less cider. Staff were great, pizzas were better than the Stables offering. Will definitely be again, just the perfect stop off before a gig at Arts centre or Electric Palace.

The fact this is an older hotel gives the place a lot of charm. Rooms have been sensitively upgraded with all conveniences you would expect. The food was a real find. Well cooked and presented. And the staff couldn’t do enough for you.

We had an amazing experience from start to finish. We were pleasantly surprised by the room size, quality of the bedding, bathroom facilities and luxurious-feel throughout (we had a twin room that had 2 small double beds instead of 2 single). Nice touches included a Nespresso machine and bathrobes. It really felt like cosy and could have spent more days there. We also found that it was very quiet, the private parking came in very handy and well located to visit the surrounding areas. The staff, particularly Sophie and Geraldine made us feel at home, making the stay special. The food at breakfast and dinner was superbly cooked and good value. Looking forward to a return visit in the summer to make use of the lovely courtyard! We highly recommend it!

I will split my review into 2 sectionsThe hotel:We got a standard room for 162£ ,the room has nice decoration and all the amenities including nice towels, robes, shower gel etc , coffees and teas, bed is soft and the window overlooks the little town, the bathroom needs renovation ,the drain was not draining well the water is pooling, and it needed cleaning as there was some mould on the tiles ,and the floor was not in great condition. I would say very very expensive for what it isThe bar-restaurantThe food was nice but I think the breakfast was the best👌 really good qualityThe staffI can't rate the staff enough ,polite ,great ,really working hard ,my partner forgot his wallet they kept it for us safe ,all great really

Fantastic place to stay and dine if you are in the area, we stayed for two nights over the weekend and the staff made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The restaurant is very good, and well worth booing for an evening, whether you are staying in the hotel or not.

Stayed here for a few days over Christmas with family. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The room I stayed in was very clean and cosy. Had dinner twice at the hotel and a great range of food on the menu. Breakfast was delicious! Would recommend!

Very friendly and professional staff. Room warm, cosy and clean with all you need. Very comfy beds. Super shower. Breakfast is delicious, varied and as much as you like. We stayed in a family room, king bed and bunk beds and they made us feel so welcome. Fresh milk from the bar, extra tea etc as wished. Had a great Christmas lunch and went to pizzeria in the evening. Has everything you need for a great break, in a very central location yet very quiet and private. Thank you Team Bull, you’ve got our Christmas off to a cracking start! Can’t recommend highly enough for a special family get away.
