The Ginger Fox in East Dorset

Having wanted to visit for a long time I finally came on a Friday for lunch. The sunshine was out and they had reserved us a table outside if we wanted it which was a lovely touch. I didnt get the name of the brunette lady that welcomed us but she was warm and attentive. Our waiter Donall was so lovely and chatty which is always nice. I appreciated his tips on where I can find the gorgeous Sussex Rose that I treated myself to and gave me a birthday plate with truffles which was such a kind gesture. The truffles were delicious!. I had the Sea Bream and it was divine. My friend had the bacon chop, again phenomenal. Can't wait to return.

We had a really lovely meal at The Ginger Fox last night, to celebrate two birthdays.Our waitress was exceptional - she even ran out to our car as we were leaving to give us some birthday truffles! She was so attentive throughout the meal - our glasses were never empty and she was always friendly and helpful.The food was top standard - the boys described the Scotch egg as one of the best they had ever eaten and my burger was delicious and juicy. Their wine selection was also brilliant.We shall definitely be returning!! Thank you for a lovely evening!

Beautiful thatched pub building ser within large garden yet with a secluded feel.Very accommodating and personable staff complemented a wonderfully presented meal.

We went there last Friday evening for a little Birthday Celebration.Well I must say we were very, very pleased with the whole experience, from start to finish.The Food was top notch, the Service was first Class also, quietly attentive, and very helpful with guiding one of our Party through the menu choices as they are now totally Dairy free due to Allergies that have developed over recent years.I gave the Ginger Fox 5☆ but would have given 10, but there's only 5.Highly recommended as well for the relaxed atmosphere, but remember, you will need a designated Driver, its out in the sticks, but that's all part of its charm.

Three of us ate at the Ginger Fox last night based on the online star rating and had a wonderful evening. The food was outstanding, the service perfect, the table was simple but fine and this was all set in a cosy and comfortable dining room. We had a variety of different dishes and each was superb and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and professional - both servers were delightful. We live in West Sussex and just wish we had one restaurant near us which could compare to the The Ginger Fox. Sadly we do not. We hope to visit one of the Brighton sister restaurant’s or return to the Ginger Fox before long.

Excellent food (and cocktails!), possibly the best meal out I've ever had! Really cosy place with an open fire and exceptional service. I still dream about the chocolate fondant with mango ice cream and passionfruit salsa!

Brought my wife here for a birthday lunch and was blown away by the quality of service and the food on offer. Pickled apples are a game changer! Considering the attention to details in the dishes the prices are really reasonable. Reccomend if you're after a quiet and cosy country pub vibe but with food that is just that extra bit special.

I was there for lunch today and, as usual for this group of restaurants, the food was of a really high standard, well presented and the staff were very very informative and friendly. The listing on Google is incorrect in that it says that it is closed on a Tuesday. I can assure you it is open on a Tuesday and gets busy quite soon after doors open. Book in advance so you don't miss out. Variety of scotch eggs is amazing and they are the best.

We have just had a fantastic Sunday dinner. Beautiful, family friendly, dog friendly, cottage style posh pub. All of the servers are attentive regardless of which table you are sat at and it didn't feel like they were rushing us. The food was definately worth every penny.
