The setting and staff are wonderful so I wish I could give the full 5 stars. I'm still trying to work out how my steak was cooked, it was almost as of it were deep fried. One of our party returned their's. I struggled on with mine but, unfortunately, it did not redeem itself. The chips, however, were some of the best I've ever had. VERY limited dessert menu, I was offered a lactose free crumble topping but there was no vegan custard or ice cream so I didn't order.

Awesome lunch, good choice on the menu, seated in the bar with excellent table service 🙂. Exemplary choice of real ales and popular lager types. Lovely atmosphere for a weekday lunchtime. Plenty of space inside and outside at the two tabled areas. Thanks to the staff who made our visit very enjoyable and well worth returning in the future.

We love it here! Amazing menu and really fab food! The charcuterie board to start with was very good, great quality ingredients! And the cote de boeuf was brilliant! The service was super friendly, and we were made to feel very welcome. The rooms are also lovely, and it's a beautiful location. We were lucky enough to see the sun on our visit so took advantage of the garden! Definitely worth a trip, highly recommended!

My girlfriend and I stayed over for a Birthday Celebration and our room was beautifully decorated we both had a three course meal and we were delighted with the presentation, taste and texture we couldn’t fault it, it was out of this world Charlie has excelled himself with great hospitality. We also appreciate Matt, Tony and all the staff who made our stay very welcome with dinner and a complimentary breakfast. We would definitely come again as we had a fantastic time there, highly recommended.Paul and Maria

I booked a table here but i could have just turned up on the day. There were plenty of empty tables here on a sunday lunchtime , the food and service here is very good but you need deep pockets to dine and drink here. A very nice sunday lunch and dessert but won't be returning any day soon.

Had dinner at the Fleur and there were a few issues regarding service and a discrepancy on the bill. Returned today to discuss this and my complaints were treated in a professional manner, received an apology and the bill was rectified. Can't really ask for more. All establishments can have an 'off' day, for reasons we are unaware of.

Stylish country decor in a quiet pretty country hamlet in the heart of the New Forest. Welcoming and friendly staff. Exceptional breakfast. Tastefully designed bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Highly recommended, would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to Emma and all the staff for an enjoyable.

Gorgeous pub restaurant & small hotel. Beautiful decor throughout. Dog friendly. Wonderful food, wines & cocktails. Exceptional breakfast & coffee. Glorious location in the heart of the New Forest, likely to see pheasants, ponies, egrits and other wildlife on your visit. Highly recommended.

Really disappointing last visit which I really hate to write about as I have very rarely left a bad review. My husband and I had a wonderful first visit a while back and was so impressed with the venue, service and food (beautifully smoked meat, gorgeous taste) that we couldn't wait to go back. We were so excited that we had mentioned booking a roast there again but with our group of friends. We booked a table of 12 (well in advance, approx 2 weeks). We were utterly disappointed to find out the only meat left was a few portions of beef and partridge but ordered nonetheless. The staff forgot 1 order, partridge was too raw to eat and there were 1-2 roast potatoes on each plate - the portions were embarrassingly small! We spent over £700 in total on food & drink + £70 service charge which is a hefty bill.A few days later I called to ask if we could get just a few of the mains refunded, at £20 a plate as we didn't feel we were given enough food and the quality was no where near as good as previous times. The Manager was lovely and tried to co-operate but in the end we were offered nothing apart from better service and few drinks on the house on our next visit. I don't think we will be returning on this basis or perhaps if we do, go just the two of us again as they clearly could not handle a large table. We're gutted as we thought we had found such a beautifully unique place but the last visit has really changed our opinion. Hopefully they will take these comments on board.

Very average. 10 closed clams in the mussels and clam mariner with a tasteless broth, told waitress and nothing was said about it, bread was stale and taste like what I can imagine my granddads leather boots taste like after a long walk. Sea bass was cooked nice but just plonked on the plate with nothing else. Partridge on my friends roast was dry and chewy. Extremely Overpriced and boring. Least the chips were nice, but I wouldn’t go back and pay that much for some chips. Do not recommend
