Really good food. Friendly service. Even the children's fish and chips was some of the best cooked food in the crispest lightest batter I've tasted in ages... For a last minute booking we were made to feel very welcome with our dog.

Our starter was smoked Duck served with melba toast. On previous visits, the Mushroom soup or Cheese Souffle were just as delicious - the food is generally excellent & creatively presented. Our Sunday Roast Lamb was the most delicious, tender lamb I have ever tasted! It was served imaginatively in a dome with carrots & a parsnip. The Yorkshire Pud & Roast potatoes, the green vegetables on the side & little jug of Mint Sauce on the side, were perfect accompaniments.Due to popularity, its advisable to book .Sad to hear this pub is closing. The chef & staff are the best!!

While rather innocuous on the outside, inside is very pleasant with a relaxed decor and atmosphere. The staff were wonderful, polite, great rapport and very helpful, oh, and a good laugh. The food was absolutely superb, couldn't fault anything we had. Very tasty, well cooked and beautifully served. Will definitely be going back, mainly for another bowl of the seafood chowder which was the best I've had outside of the US.

We arrived after lunch hour to find we could be accommodated. What a pleasant surprise finding a pub with a good menu, excellent food & professional service.I chose two starters - Cream of Mushroom Soup & Cheese Soufflé. Both were full of flavour & can be highly recommended. My fiancè ordered the pie of the day with vegetables- also excellent. We will return!

I had a local ale for just over £4.00.Quite a few diners, and in fairness, the food did look good. Not very busy when I visited Thursday 1st July.

Lovely Sunday roast in a friendly pub.All of us had good food and enjoyed ourselves. Friendly staff and good food.Service could have been a little quicker and we were a bit put off when the chair fell apart-to be told it’s ok, it’s happened earlier and will be ok!.And finally, nothing to do with the Kings Arms; but made me smile....It's a 5 minute walk from my house to the pub. It's a 30 minute walk from the pub to my house. The difference is staggering.

Great pub, held our table when we got stuck in traffic, lovely staff and amazing food. A lot of the adult food is available as a kids portion if you ask. The steak was the best steak I have had for a long time (lockdown excluded) and was actually cooked rare as requested. A hidden gem.

A very nice family own pub with excellent food. They don't have any microwaves in their kitchen and have a seperate vegan preparation area for everything that can be. The staff were friendly and the manager Alex was lovely. On our way back to London we came back for the Sunday roast. It was excellent, I had a nut roast, but other members of my party had and enjoyed the lamb and beef roast.

The food was fantastic, staff were friendly. The price was comparable to other steak houses in the area, but the quality of food really showed through.

This is our third visit and there is no denying, The Kings Arms truly delivers quality fresh home cooked food with impeccable service with a smile and the warmest of welcomes. The three cheese souffle has to be one of the best ever tasted, and the Beef and Red wine pie is up there with the very best!!! The homemade soup (today - tomato and basil) was full of flavour and filling. The main course of Cajun salmon was seasoned perfectly, - unfortunately I was unwell so couldn't do it the justice it so deserved. I've had puddings here before, and the crumble is as good as my mom's and she makes a crumble to die for. With 2 courses at £12.95 and 3 courses at £16.95 you can lunch at The Kings Arms and enjoy the finest and freshest food at an extremely low price. We have yet to sample the a la carte menu, we know we won't be disappointed
