Wonderful. Walking through the shop was tricky, but only because there were so many things of interest to buy. Organic food stuffs, hand made toys, beautiful materials on bags, cushions, throws. I only went in for a coffee and a cake! The coffee was lovely and they had almond milk! The cakes were all good looking and the flapjack I chose was superbly moist yet firm and very tasty. This really is a hidden gem of a place and I shall come back for a meal soon as the choices on offer looked and smelled amazing.

I love the Lantern café and shop. It's a beautiful space, the food is good quality and reasonably priced. The shop has all sorts of interesting, tasty, beautiful things. Some from their own bakery, weavery, pottery and craft workshops, others from all around the globe as well as eco and holistic products. Well worth a visit and well worth supporting the social enterprise aspect as well.

Delightful Cafe and Shop supporting Special Needs people who live onsite with a host of Careers 24x7. There is a Bakery supplying Artisan Bread and Pastries. There are also a number of Craft workshops where the social news folk get busy with making all number of beautiful items. Do visit !

I always pop in when I am passing. I love the variety and inclusiveness. However, I have just spent £15 to be treated by the rudest member of staff. Seriously..she should not be allowed to deal with members of the public.

The lantern is a beautiful place to relax, and meet friends for exquisite top of the range food and drink..you wouldn't even know it is close to the A31. The staff are friendly. The shop sells beautiful products produced by the craft workshops and outside suppliers. Pottery, weaving, woodwork, artwork. It is lovely place supporting adults with learning disabilities..depending on the charity of others and pieces sold.

Amazing place for a meal or coffee and a cake. The shop is great to. The first and possibly the best restaurant you will come to in Dorset.

Just had the most delicious quiche ever! My wife had the tomato soup which was wholesome and tasty too. £12.95 total so great value too. Highly recommended cafe and all sorts of lovely eco-friendly things in the shop too.

What a lovely little place. Wonderful cafe . Excellent quality food and super bread. The shop holds a very wide ranging selection of gifts, crafts, cards and all kinds of things. A totally awesome range of quality craftsmanship is shown proudly by the students and craftspersons working, living and learning here. I was particularly struck by the superb abilities in evidence at the weaving centre, what skills to own!! It kind of inspires me to want to learn a few more craft skills. Thanks to all for a lovely visit. We all felt thoroughly welcomed and can't wait to come back.

What a lovely place to visit with a friend for an afternoon coffee. A great shop full of lots of lovely bits and pieces including candles, smellies, small toys, Christmas decorations, cards, books, ornaments, homemade cakes, bread. The atmosphere was lovely and everyone was treated kindly and politely. I don't live in the area but a friend does so will definitely be back.
