First class, Lovely waitress nothing to much trouble. Highly reccomend and will definitely be going again

Dry, salty, bland food. On the expensive side. No sauce to counteract the dryness of everything. Did not even manage more than a few mouthfuls before instinct kicked in and we stopped eating. The place was completely dead when we collected too so no excuses there! Staff were very friendly but didn't attempt to complain as there is signage everywhere saying they refuse to refund takeaway food, should have taken that as a warning.

So glad we found this lovely Chinese restaurant a couple of years ago. Great food very friendly and polite staff and quiet. Honestly a great place to eat.

I can't speak for the more extravagant items on the menu but we ordered noodle dishes to take away and they were all really quite awful, though not especially expensive. Not something I'd order again.

Best Chinese in Wimborne, and probably the only one, but good food and friendly service. Just keep going back...If Chinese food is what floats your boat then the food here is great, its fresh and very tasty and the service is excellent.Probably one of my favourite places to eat... Don't tell the holiday makers... Reserve the good food for us local people!

Eat In or Take Out finest quality cooked Chinese food. Reasonably priced and worth every penny. Staff are polite and helpful.

Tried for the first time as takeaway - Excellent quality, fresh and full of flavour without being uncomfortably spicy. Plenty of veggie options as well. 3 full veggie menus was a bit too much for a family of 2 adults + 2 kids (11 & 8) but we totally enjoyed it, even our kids who aren't usually keen on Chinese cuisine. Next time we'll probably opt for 2 full menus and 1 small extra dish. We certainly will order again!!

We had the mixed starter platter, the only good bit was the chicken satay, the other items were very bland and disappointing.The second course was the crispy duck which was good, just the right amount of pancakes and sliced spring onions.The main courses were average at best with not enough flavour or depth to the dishes. Maybe they need to add MSG to make it more palatable?I'm sure this place was better when we've been there in the past but this time it was just very dull.

Below is my original review and just updating as continually impressed by food and service and that speaks volumes as so often you can return to a restaurant and it not be so good BUT ALWAYS the same high standard and excellent friendly service at The Square Chinese. I honestly think some of the more negative reviews have been put against the wrong restaurant.I eat here at least twice a year and I am very fussy about food quality and standards. This is superb Chinese food and always consistently good with superb flavours and presentation. Excellent service from the lovely friendly staff, manager Maggie and waitress Ona. The atmosphere is so relaxed and food so good that we normally take at least an hour and a half for our lunch and always look forward to our next visit. I am so surprised by some of the poor reviews, that I wonder if they have been put against the wrong restaurant.
