Walked here looking at the positive Google reviews and their social media indicating that they are open. Arrived to find the venue mothballed as can be seen from the photographs. It would appear from the recruitment notices in the venue that this place is soon to reincarnate as "Little Drop of Poison", a cocktail bar. The Beer Cellar Exeter Facebook also appears to be advertising jobs at this new venue. Presumably the same owners as a result, so it would be common courtesy to update their current listings to state that they are closed.I have marked as 'Permenantly Closed' on Google Maps to save anybody else the walk.

Visited Exeter for the day and I was recommended this bar. Garth the bartender did an incredible job and took time to recommend a beer for my tastes as the choice was so vast.He also spotted the band name on my t-shirt and put some of their music on.Great beer great service. 100% recommend a visit.

Wandered into here because the atmosphere was spilling out of the windows, the bar is only small but well worth a visit. The three thirds board is a great way of trying lots of different beer and the barman's knowledge helps you pick something you'll love.

It's no fuss, quality drafts. They even had a pseudo gueuze/gose! I had a pint of Sleeping Limes by The Wild Beer Co and quite liked it. It's not a sour in the way that most gueuzes taste but if you like sours, give it a try!

Another great find! Right by exeter cathedral they have great selection on tap! And it frequently changes. Benefit with this place lovely big open seating area outside. So when it's nice I would say it the place to go

An excellent place for a quiet pint. Very nice and knowledgeable bar staff, interesting craft ales, ciders and beers, and regular changes to what's on tap. Awesome outdoor seating on the cathedral green. Great central location. Very small and intimate setting, so not great for large groups.

Always like dropping in here to try what's on tap that week. Don't need to down any pints here as they also have a good coffee selection. Inside and outside seating available. They have some really interesting beers with sometimes wicked strength, but they have recommendations for the 1/2, 3/4 or whole pint size to buy!.

The Beer Cellar is a awesome little pub. You can vape!! Vapers are welcome. They have a very good range beers and ales. The staff are very friendly. There are some very interesting books to read and games to play.

Very good craft beer bar. The staff have a great knowledge of the large range of craft beers that they sell. The have tap takeovers from breweries in the local area and a great range of exotic bottled beers. There's an outside seating area with a view of Exeter cathedral Without doubt the best place to drink craft beers in Exeter.

Great little venue. Lots of interesting beers on tap and bottled. Not loads of ciders but it's called the beer cellar after all!!
