Staff were OK. Food tasty, plenty of toppings, but the sharing dish we choose was smaller than at other Brewers fayres. Fire alarm from the hotel next door went off during our meal for nearly 10 mins, it's bell sounds in the pub too so was very loud and quite off putting.Nothing they could do about it, but the barely perfunctory apology gave the impression that the duty manger just didn't care.

The service was slow apart from 1 lass who seemed to be running around like a headless chicken doing everything. The coffee was cold and when we told them they said it set temperature for machine. Had to wait 45 minutes from end of main course to desert. The profito rolls were still hard and frozen in the middle. We were very disappointed and won't be going back again it has gone down hill from the last time we went.

Quite possibly the worst pub meal I have ever had. All veg was defrosted about 5 minutes before being served, which came 1 hour and 25 minutes after we ordered. We did not get the upgraded items we paid for. And to top it off, all of the meat tasted very fishy. DO NOT come here.

Nice place to visit. Food is nice and reasonably priced. Beers good and service is good with friendly staff. Lots of free parking and there's also a small outside seating area

This is probably the worst run restaurant I have stayed in on my premier inn experience.Due to the sit down policy you have people queuing out the door even though there are plenty of empty tables.Even for breakfast you wait to be seen which is fair enough. But then escorted past numerous empty tables to be sat at the back of the restaurant. If you want food you have to queue to be seenIf you want a drink you have to queue to be seen.Really not enough staff to service the restaurant properly but what staff there is a re nice. Also the food available for breakfast goes fast and it’s sparse at the best of times.I don’t eat cooked breakfast but really this didn’t look cookedPlease book at all times but be prepared to queue.CheersDR

Oh dear, what a disappointment and a shambles!! Four of us booked in today, 06.02 2022, especially for Sunday Carvery. Told on arrival that the Carvery was off as there had been no meat delivery!!?? Great start, but decided to stay and eat. At least 6 other items on the menu were not available either.Whilst waiting for our order, a nearby table complained to the waitress that they had already been waiting for almost an hour yet other tables were being served despite the diners arriving later than them. A waiter arrived at our table, within 10 minutes, and tried to serve us the wrong order i.e. someone elses. Our order took 35 minutes to arrive. Whilst 3 of our meals were okay, the fish and chips was cold and unpalatable. There was a small amount of luke warm fish in incredibly thick and hard batter. It was awful. The waitress asked if we wanted a replacement, but it was not worth it. Thankfully, a discount was offered and accepted.Thereafter, staff were heard discussing between themselves how bad the day was and how they had wished they hadn't come in. Not the professional and smart thing to do within earshot of the customers. Their exasperation at the events of the day was understandable though.Sunday Carvery and 'no meat' / staff confusion / frustrations, the buck stops with the Manager. Dropped the ball somewhat! Not your finest day Brewers Fayre. Two Stars, but only just. Won't be heading back anytime soon.

Haven't been here for a while, most disappointed, waitress brought food out, and put down on table, the portion of 2 of the main meals were so small, a small child could have eaten it easily, the food only just came half way up the little over dishes, although the food was very nice, it looked like 1 portion had been stretched out to make 2 maels, no one came back to enquire if everything was OK, only to collect plates after. All I can say if these meals are brought in readily prepared you need to speak to the suppliers, the portion of thses meals were disgusting for the price of £10.49 each. Won't be returning back again in a hurry. The other meals were ok ish. Very disappointed !

Worst service ever! After a long 3 hour drive we arrive at 4:30, we are staying the the premier inn next door. So before we check in to the hotel I pop into the brewers fayre at ask to book a table for my wife and 2 year old daughter. I ask for the earliest time possible and the guy at front desk looks at his computer and tells me he has nothing before 6oclock, I tell him I have a young daughter 2 years old and 6oclock is getting abit late for her we really need something earlier and ask if he could squeeze us in somewhere. He looks at his screen again and tells me ā€˜NO’ Now ordinarily this wouldn’t be upsetting except the restaurant was nearly completely empty! I say to the young man are you sure your restaurant looks.. empty. He replies no I can’t fit you in anywhere the restaurants completely full because every table is booked out at 5 o’clock so by then it’s gonna be completely packed. I say ok no problem see you at 6:00. So we go check in next door, as we do so the guy on reception asks if we’d like to book in to the restaurant, I reply thanks we already have but was disappointed they didn’t have anything earlier. The guy then looks at me strange as asks what time I’d like, I say 5:30 and replies all done for you sir. I ask if he’s using a different system to the one next door (thinking he can see something they can’t) and tells me no the same one, he says he doesn’t know why next door wouldn’t book me in they are nearly empty. He then showed me his computer and says at 5:30 they only had 8 seats booked out with 24 left so there’s no reason they couldn’t take my booking. Roll on 5:30 we turn up and say we have a booking at 5:30 and the same guy on the door looks at me and so no it’s at 6. I then politely explain next door rebooked us in at the earlier time, he then staired into his near empty restaurant for a good minute whilst we stood their making us feel awkward as he replies your tables not free yet follow me. I’m assuming he was referring to the 6 other people in the restaurant, he then sits us down in the nearly empty restaurant where we eat. After we finish (around 6:30) the restaurant was still near empty. Absolutely crazy, was I discriminated against (because that’s how I felt) or was this staff member trying to make brewers fayre bankrupt by turning away customers they could easily accommodate. Winds me up, we would never return.

Awful pub, had dinner here 3 times, food quality very poor and staff super rude. First time had a fish and chips and tasted as if rotten, while peas were clearly coming directly from a tin rather than being fresh, second time had sausage and mash, the sausages were grey inside and did not taste fresh at all, lastly had a roasted turkey which had bad quality meat. When asked which dishes they would recommend waiters said they don't eat there, and the chefs neither. How can you eat in a place where the staff doesn't eat? Won't come back ever again.

Stay at the Premier Inn next door for two nights. So used this restaurant for evening meals. Quality was 100% I had the mixed grill both nights, everything cook to perfection. Would say a big thank to Paul for being so helpful on the second night with my team and making sure we had our meal. (we were working late and didn't know if we would be back for last food order). Will be back.
