Buffet City in Exeter

Friendly welcome, not as big as I thought it would be. Food was cooked well and a great range of different dishes but the place was lacking something and the staff were not very attentive with clearing plates, so only the 3 star rating.

Always enjoy the variety of food on offer here. Prices have sored recently tho. They have become very over priced. The price isn't reflective of the food now, so i would give it a 2 star for cost of a evening there. It will soon outweigh its worth. And people will dine else where.

I went to buffet city in Exeter on the 5 March 2022,after two years of not going there.I saw some reviews, so not quite sure what to expect.I am pleased to say that their food is even better than last time, and as a person who worked for a Chinese take away for two years I know a bit about Chinese food.Let me start by saying, that the staff very friendly and helpful.Also the food was very tasty and even. better than last time.Yes the price has increased but so has every thing else increased.Please try this wonderful restaurant and enjoy.

Absolutely outstanding,Everything hot and tasty.From duck and teryake to squid and chips with a massive dessert selection included fresh cooked pancakes and a chocolate fountain.Lovely place to enjoy a few hours for dinner.

Not been for a few years and was very disappointed. The price has gone up way too much, and food is still the same old stuff. Salt and pepper chips were hard and cold, and the rest of the food was bland. It was very quiet and can understand why. Unless they change the food and prices, we will not be back

We had not visited for over 2 years, mainly due to covid but also had been disappointed on our previous visit. The good news is that covid protocol is good, masks are encouraged and each customer is given disposable gloves to handle the serving tongs. The food was varied and on the whole was value for the price.

EXCELLENT - RECOMMENDI visited here a few times in Dec 2021.+ Good range and quality of food+ Deserts - chocolate fountain, ice cream flavours, fruit, jelly & cake+ Duck and fish options+ Food always topped up regularly+ Used plates cleared quickly+ Hard working, friendly staff+ Clean and tidy+ Must wear mask and plastic gloves when at serveries- No easy parking nearby. Use multi story 5 mins walk away- Entrance is down a side alley, but don't let this put you off- Starts to get quiet after 9.00, so more of an early evening venue

Superb buffet to suit most if not all palettes. Eat as much as you like as often as you like. The best way is to have small portions to give you mire choices. Excellent table service clearing used crockery and cutlery. Good value for money.

I love this place. It's well spaced out with some booth seating available. You pay for your drinks and meal on entry. Currently, due to covid, you wear a mask when moving around and they provide gloves for you to use when getting your food from the buffet area. I found it all really reassuring and it made me feel a bit safer.The food is tasty and great if you fancy trying little bits of everything. For example I could have prawn toast, Singapore noodles, chicken curry, salt and pepper potatoes, omelette, chicken and sweetcorn soup, beef in black bean sauce... You get the idea....There's nuggets and chips for kids and the only limiting factor, I believe, is if you're vegan.

Just love this place. This is the 2nd time I've been and definitely won't be the last. I found the food absolutely amazing. I'm sure I ate my body weight in prawns and freshly cooked muscles and garlic mushrooms. There is veg available and although it didn't quite make it to my plate, it looked delicious. The photo of my food selection doesn't do the place any justice.The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is always clean. Tre menu is amazing and so many new things to try. There is a big selection of puddings too (which the kids love). A nice evening out. Definitely worth a vist but ensure you book in advance. 10/10 from me.
