Countess Wear Beefeater in Exeter

After waiting over 5 minutes for bar staff to appear, we ordered our food. A simple chicken burger that you can't really get wrong but sadly did. Tasted like it was cooked in old oil and was overcooked. Other meals not much better, pretty tasteless BUT saying that the older locals who were just In there drinking looked like they were having a lovely time 🙂

Food was very nice. The kids meals are absolutely worth it! You get a starter, main, 2 sides and dessert. Unfortunately we were in a bit of a rush but the staff catered for our needs and were very kind. There was quite a bit of waiting time but not enough to be bothered about if we weren't in a rush.

Had a great lunch meal with my son Food was tasty meal was good size 😋 Definitely recommend 👌

The staff as always are lovely and very helpful. It became very busy when we visited, which caused a long 1 hour plus wait for our food. But the food was lovely and the staff kept us informed

Very disappointed. Had Chick and Ribs it was bland. First choice of Sunday dinner was sold out, second choice Salmon was also sold out. Our sons pizza arrived burnt, though as soon as we mentioned it, the waiter said sorry and went to change it, unfortunately we were nearly finished by the time he got it then we had to wait for it to cool down too. Then we waited approx 20 mins for our sons ice cream. The staff seemed pleasant and the other star is for free parking. The lighting on the bar side was also very poor. Left feeling like it was a waste of time and money.

Had a great meal tonight , food was delicious and served in good time. Staff were efficient and helpful. Nice atmosphere, was in there longer than I expected to be as having a good time.

Good place. Nice environment. The pub sauce seemed to be very busy. The restaurant was nice and the breakfast served was very lovely. Shame the coffee machine wasn't working because the sachets aren't quite the same, but the staff couldn't do enough for us. Continental side was lovely as well. Only downside was the empty hand sanitisers, but otherwise, Thank you

I live locally and Unfortunately pretty poor first and last visit, service was slow, despite checking our order twice, one of the dinners was completely missing when they bought them out, the team member seemed to be of the opinion that we hadn’t actually ordered that meal. We had also ordered medium rare steaks, both of which came well done.So disappointed by this restaurant on Father’s Day, and especially the team members attitude that it was our mistake..Won’t be back again and if I were you I would drive past and find somewhere else to eat.

Fantastic restaurant with great service and food. Everything was hot and delicious the waitress Lisa was friendly, professional and attentive. She very kindly kept items hot as we had a slow eater. Many thanks Lisa

Popped in on the off chance just two of us very nice meal nice friendly staff food was hot and came out quick. Only down fall chunky slaw not much tast and a very small corn on the cob . But all in all nice well done. Did notice no porter house steak and more shame.
