Fantastic food great staff , both dishes well presented , only little criticism was that the toasted bread on the starter needed a oil or butter as it was a tad dry , fish was perfect and vibrant taste to all of it

Oh my goodness I couldn’t fault the Mill on the Exe today.. we had actually head for The Imperial but were turned away because of our furry companion. The Mill welcomed us inside and outside with open arms.. the staff were warm, friendly and helpful, service was prompt and the food delicious and reasonably priced on the lunchtime menu. The decor is stunning as is the setting on the water with soooo much outside space.. we will be returning for sure.

What a difficult place to review. Had Sunday lunch yesterday with my daughter, brother and his wife. Wonderful venue, wonderful location, brilliant service from everyone throughout the afternoon. We shared 3 starters very, very nice. We had a fish and chips, no complaints, a roast lamb and 2 roast beefs. The plates were overcrowded it was difficult to get to anything. I think I had 10 different vegetables on my plate...why? They would have been nicer warm. The roast spuds may have been from the day before and the beef was overcooked. Having said all that I would happily come again but can't imagine when that's going to happen. We had a fabulous afternoon. Thanks.

I've been a few times, it's a very beautiful place of you want to combine a nice dinning experience with great landscape to look at.Sunday roast is by far on of the best in the city, although in my plate there was missing an ingredient completely (roast potatoes).Value for money in regards to the food, not so much for the drinks the wine is a bit overpriced and often served too warm.Service is great, always kind and happy to help so definitely go and visit.

Been here lots of times but not for a while, booked in Saturday nite 26/2/22, really busy, great atmosphere. I felt they had crammed a few more tables in that being said lots of very good attentive servers, we just had mains, Cod & chips beautiful ..batter very crispy minted mushed garden peas, thick chips, Thai curry very nice, big portion and the hunters chicken was a little disappointing. But it is a love setting and great service, yeah we will go back 👍

Food was good, but I had mussels as a starter and I felt quite big pieces of some crunchy stuff, I guess that mussels were not clean properly :) but anyway taste of the sauce and fish and chips were good :) !

Nice atmosphere and decor, friendly staff. Had fish and chips, with homemade tartar sauce and mushy peas with mint it was very trasy. Beautiful view to the river. Please is very busy most of the time.

Good location close to station and centre. Rooms are reasonable standard albeit slightly on small side. Worth ensuring you get a river view as rooms to front suffer with road noise as the secondary glazing coupled with wooden sash windows are not sufficient. Lovely staff and decent plates of food at reasonable prices. stor

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time staying at this guest house. Our room was spacious and extremely clean, and the staff were all really friendly. We also had a fantastic view from our window, and we went to sleep listening to the sound of the river! The restaurant area downstairs was also really nice, and I loved the atmosphere there (plus the chips were very yummy)! The staff were happy to cater to my allergy and were all really helpful. We fully enjoyed our stay at Mill on the Exe and are already wondering when (not if) we'll be visiting again!
