Miller and Carter in Exeter

The service was friendly but rather slow considering how quiet it was. Steak was cooked accurately but didn't have as much flavour as hoped, but I guess that's a bit hit and miss. Pricewise it's expensive and I don't think the overall quality justified it. It was OK but not great.

Called in after a lengthy business meeting. My last experience of an M&C had not been great (see reviews). However, on this occasion the food was good and the service 1st class. Our waitress Lucy was attentive, engaging with a warm personality. Thank you for looking after us.

Food was lovely and well presented (steaks done a tad more than we'd have liked, but the quality of the meat meant they were still tender and delicious and not bad enough to send back (also it may be relative to my interpretation of medium rare!) - I hate food waste!) Service excellent! Had a lovely time. Drinks were good value food a tad pricey for some people. We will definitely go back though, luckily it's on our price point for a treat :)

Great food and excellent service but I felt that it was overpriced and the portions were stingy. The steaks were really tasty and cooked as requested but I wish there were more fries, especially for the price. When they're charging £65 for steak, they shouldn't be so tight with the sides. The starters suffered from the stingy treatment too... £7 for 3 chicken wings is a bit cheeky! We had a brownie and Espresso Martini combo for dessert. Unfortunately the Martini was a bit rubbish and may as well have been a black coffee 😔I've wanted to try M&C for a while and now that I've been, I'm disappointed. I expected it to be a little bit on the expensive side but I thought I'd at least be leaving with a full belly, not just an empty wallet. One of the lads got a Subway an hour later, he was still hungry! IMO it wasn't worth the £180 bill.

Had a fantastic meal, very good food and nice friendly service

We have eaten here a few times always been top notch, but this time it fell a little short.Firstly, I felt the portion size has gotten smaller, starter I had rum glazed chicken wings..now we all know there's not much on a wing that being said, I had 3 for £8.50 !! Secondly my nephew had the fillet steak very I thought conservative portion for £32.50, my wife went for halumi salad a lot of chunky iceberg lettuce.... I had the Miller dirty burger .. absolutely delicious 😋, brother had the hake, very nice but again smaller portion, finally other nephew had steak and loved it, all the food was cooked perfectly and Stu (who has served us before) was spot on 👏👏, so to sum up, lovely place, atmosphere was great, but sadly the portion size was disappointing

Lovely place to visit. Food was excellent. Def will go and would highly recommend.

We ate their on Friday our waiter was Christo he was amazing and we ate again Saturday and our waiter was Beray. One of our guests required the gluten free menu and it was extensive and every effort made to keep our food separate. The best miller and carter we have been

Excellent food, ambience is so romantic, and Nissy, the waitress who served us, was so friendly, efficient and very helpful. I highly recommend this steakhouse.

We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here whilst it was also being our first visit to Miller and Carter and we were so impressed by the friendliness of the staff as soon as we entered the restaurant and how accommodating they were throughout our visit. It was also a nice little touch to see a happy anniversary message on our desserts which was a nice surprise. The food and drink was so delicious and we look forward to coming back here again.10/10 visit.
