Ice cream from the hatch nice. But a little miserable service for our visit.

Delicious coffee and hot chocolate. Just what we needed whilst aimlessly wandering the streets of Topsham on New Year's day. Served with humour, smiles and treats for the dog. Oh and the smells of the freshly baked goods were incredible! If I didn't have to control the dog I'd have scrambled over the counter and face planted the festive shortbread! Yum yum 😋

My wife and I visited Topsham on 24th October & we purchased two panini's from Plum. My wife tried to engage the middle aged man in conversation and he wasn't interested. Not quite rude but not very friendly. His t- shirt proclaimed he was tired of he was always right or words to that effect but not on this occasion. We ordered two Panini's, a pulled pork, apple and cheese and a brie, monzarella and cranbury, £5.50 each. These were promptly served, were piping hot but my god what a disappointment. We had effectively paid £11 for two panini's breads as the filling in the pulled pork was none existent. Bacon was also none existent and was copped into small pieces. How much does a slice of bacon cost? I should have gone back on complained which is not something I normally do.Would I recommend using Plum given our experience? No.Was the food VFM? No.Did I feel short changed? Most definitely.Other reviews are far more favourable and people have off days but we expected far better from an independant trader. Please note this is the first poor review I have posted.

Absolutely outstanding, really warm welcome and just excellent food and service. We have visited a few places in topsham on our break and hands down this was by far the best. Homemade food and cakes to die for!
