Premier Inn in Exeter

This is a fine hotel that's been recently upgraded to add the two tiers of rooms found across many Premium Inns these days. It is an absolutely perfect location for visiting the best parts of Exeter - historical, social and shopping destinations are all on the doorstep.The only issue I have is the lack of parking next to the hotel, there's two paid parking lots a few mins walk away, but the whole of Exeter has this problem thanks to the local councils' determination to make it as difficult and expensive as possible to visit the town centre!

Second stay here for work. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Very pleasant stay. Receptionist on arrival, staff at breakfast and dinner, and housekeeping (not cleaning room due to covid, saw in corridor) all very pleasant.

Lovely room! Very clean and spacious. Mum and Dad had an accessibility room and they were delighted with their wet room facilities. Rich the manager of Thyme where we had a really good evening meal and a fantastic breakfast was so kind and helpful. Good job Rich! Will definitely be recommending people to stay here! Thanks

Staff were more than helpful, & very accommodating.Our premier plus room was very well presented & the bed was amazing, such a good night's sleep & felt so refreshed after our stay.Definitely going to stay again soon.

I checked it at 0230 and was met by an extremely professional and cheerful night porter who kindly extended my check out until 1300.Breakfast was as you’d expect, but the staff went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly.All in all it’s been my best stay in a Premier inn and the likes

I travel weekly for business and i have to say i was very impressed with the level of customer sevice Vicky gave throthout the 2 weeks i was here, she is the highlight of this Hotel, she made my stay welcoming and a home from home. She always went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed - very friendly, attentive and accommodating.Richard was also very friendly and adaptable, even making sure I got dinner when I arrived at 9pm, nothing is too much trouble for him.My only gripe was that I asked for my room to be cleaned mid week so I could have fresh towels, cups & tea/coffee refilled, and unfortunately this wasn't done - probably because I wasn't able to speak to Vicky, she is the glue to this team!I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Very comfy beds. Wonderful staff. On site bar. Good breakfast. Management has a great sense of humour. I read about parking issues. We had 3 vans parked on street near hotel overnight and beyond. No PCNs issued. I'd recommend this hotel

Great location, walking distance to cathedral... and I think that's all. Currently (Jan 2022) no car park. Least favorite from my point of view restaurant associated with this network - Thyme. Having so called Premium Room on the 4th floor had no exciting views.

Unbelievable value! The blueprint of Premier Inn means that you know what to expect whether you're staying in Widnes or Windsor. Decent sized rooms, good tv, extra fluffy pillows etc.. Staff very friendly and professional. The only blip is the comically slow free Internet. Highly recommended!

Initially we went to the Premier Inn opposite the railway station, to be told we were at the wrong hotel. Sean/Shaun the manager offered to drive us to correct hotel as he is manager of both and also Exmouth Premier Inn.Having stayed in many Premier inns around the country I would rate this one as one of the best. We stayed in a Premier plus room which was only 4 weeks old. U could still smell the newness of the carpets.The staff were wonderful nothing was to much trouble for them.Special thanks to Richard for all his help.Our room had a fantastic view over Exeter and surrounding countryside.Pleased the air conditioning was on as in our previous 2 Premier inns it was off.Can't wait to go back next year.
