Ram in Exeter

Took 15 minutes to order because their bar was closed and the mobile service kept having errors.I did finally manage to order the ‘famous’ macaroni cheese, but unfortunately it quickly became apparent that ‘famously dreadful’ would be a much more accurate description of it. It was by far the single worst thing I’ve eaten since moving to university two years ago. Absolutely dire.Easily the worst macaroni cheese I’ve ever tried, making it somehow even worse than the suspicious microwave meal I get from the corner shop.The best that I can say for the place is that the booze is reasonably priced - not cheap, just reasonable.

The Ram, located in the Guild Hall, allows for students to have a safe place to go where they are pretty much guaranteed to be with people from the school or around their age where they can go to hang out and enjoy affordable drinks and food. They play good music and football games, making it very popular and they put on themed events you can buy tickets for which are well hosted and enjoyable.

Group was charged different prices for the same drinks. Jaeger bombs either had no vodka or no jaeger in them.

Nachos with three bean chilli. Quick, friendly service. Definitelyhome made guacamole - I’m fussy 😂

Quick snack and a couple of drinks before Northcott. Spot on. Very helpful and friendly staff, will certainly use again.

Food was average, nothing to write home about and had to wait over 45 minutes for a breakfast at 10 am on a Friday. I ordered at the same time as my colleagues but however had to wait on my own for my food to turn up whilst they went back to work after having their meals. Went once before which wasn't as bad but still not great.

I miss those curly fries!! Cosy and welcoming pub in the middle of campus. The food could be better but the beers are really good. Perfect after a debsoc Friday debate or a quick bite just before a campus cinema session. Great atmosphere.
