Made a reservation two weeks before for a table of 4 on the 19th March, which they booked into their system, for us only to arrive on time to find the restaurant closed! Permanently? Who knows but they never reopened that evening. Very disappointed!

I placed an order at 17.40pm on 16.10.21, which was confirmed by email for collection at 17.50pm. On arrival at the restaurant it was locked up, and there seemed to be no-one inside. I waited for 50 minutes, knocking on the door, but there was no answer. I rang the telephone number given on the website multiple times but there was no answer. The live chat link on the confirmation email didn't work. I emailed using the address on the restaurant's facebook page but it bounced. The money has gone from my account and the tracking link still says 'preparing' nearly three hours after the order.

The naan and lamb curry is really amazing! Apart from that, I didn't like the biriyani nor the other foods which was claimed to be Indian.

My partner and I have been searching for an Indian locally that gives both quality of service and ultimately, provides a great taste whilst accommodating our food requirements.Real india not only gives us the most tantalisingly delicious flavours but they are happy to work with our intolerance to certain foods. The staff are friendly on the phone and we have used just eat to order as well.We have tried 4 or 5 of the Indian takeaways within a 15 minute radius of us in Beacon Heath and not one has a patch on them. We have recommended to family who also prefer them and before the lockdown; our family have driven from Crediton to Exeter to collect their meal as it is so good.Thank you Real India for keeping us happy during harder times🙏.

I ordered a takeaway on new years eve and after 3 hours of them making the delivery time later and later, they then claimed that the order was "complete" - well I never received it. They offered to refund me £3, they effectively stole my money and did not deliver my food, thus utterly ruining what was already looking like a rubbish new year's eve spent on my own. Don't bother with this restaurant - it is most certainly not worth it.

I ordered x2 plain pilau rice as I love their's. However they changed me £6.50 for two that's £3.25 each, when the price for a plain pilau rice is £2.95 on their website menu. I called and asked why I was overcharged they said they didn't know but they would refund 50p and I wasn't going to drive back just for a 50p refund. Also they told me that they didn't accept card payment under £5. Not professional and poor service and feel messed around. Shame really as their food is good. I won't be ordering from them again.

Staff were amazing, they did a thankyou to the community for their support with an invitation buffet, food was well stocked and really tasty, rice was fluffy and tasty. Perfect. ThankyouEdit:Having read some of the other reviews I feel compelled to elaborate a bit.The food was spot on, it was kept warm on the buffet which is not easy to do especially with rice as it easily dries out but all was good. The kitchen could be seen while stood at the bar getting drinks and I'd happily say it was clean but in use, nothing I wouldn't expect to see in a busy restaurant mid shift, and it was busy, people waiting to get a seat busy. The staff, I only saw the chef back and for stocking up the buffet, he was polite and courteous even when stood there holding piping hot big trays of food happily waiting for people to finish getting their fill before allowing him through. The guy clearing and cleaning the tables was on it within seconds clearing the table and then cleaning it ready for the next eager customer. Above all was the manager /owner, he was very polite, very willing to help and to be honest some of the best customer service I have received for longer than I would care to remember, he deserves the 5 stars by himself.I think it speaks volumes when a company actually takes the time to reply to reviews, that tells you they actually care about your experience.I can't think of a better way to put it other than I salute your service and food tonight and for giving back to the customers that have supported you. Keep doing what you do best.

Lovely night out for our 40th Anniversary! The staff were brilliant even though they were really busy. Food was amazing. Really lovely that they remembered that it was our anniversary from when we had booked! Extra nice touch was the night caps after our meal. Will definitely be going back!

Both my husband and I had a lovely meal at this restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection and was plentiful. In addition to this the owner really knows his wines and only stocks quality. If the grape is not good he doesn't buy it. The service was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. 10 out of 10.
